It’s silent and dark on the street at night, so you may not want go walk there that time. But I felt myself safe even when came back after it got dark.

home-like comfort, the place is not far from the center of the town, a lot of our-door places where you can spend your time, people who live in the house, darkness and silence at night, so you can sleep very well. Great Mountain View from the terrace on the 2nd floor.

I enjoyed staying at this place and its warm, relaxing and kind atmosphere. The house is located in a quiet district, not far from the city center. The room is very cozy and everything is designed with a special taste. The owners of the house were super caring and always ready to help and offer a cup of coffee. Vahagn also showed me how to work with clay, which was one of my old wishes. I'm happy that I got a chance to spend some time here. Now it's one of my favorite places in Yerevan and I love Armenia even more ;) Shnorhakalutyun!

The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner

The experience here was excellent. The house was well maintained and clean. The bedroom was comfortable, and beds and pillows were good. The facilities were excellent with a kitchen, lower courtyard and upper deck with a stunning view of Mount Ararat. The location was excellent, just a 15 minute walk to the city centre. The breakfast was outstanding — one of the best in Armenia. The best part of the stay was the family and staff. They were incredibly friendly and hospitable, did all they could to make the guests feel comfortable and at home.

This is an interesting, inexpensive small hostel where the hosts do their best to provide for guests.

I arrived half an hour earlier than expected. There is no sign outside so it took me a while to feel sufficiently confident to open the front door and step inside. Then I waited a further 20 minutes until a lodger arrived and told me one should go out of the back of the house and up the stairss to the floor above where the family live.

The host, Varhag, is a friendly, interesting man who has a creative flair and has made ceramics and paintings. He does not speak English but his teenage son, Aram, does. They were both pleasant and helpful. Guests share a bathroom (scrupulously clean), a kitchen (with a supply of Armenian to use) and access to the garden and the verandah on the floor above with its fine view of Mount Ararat. There is also a large lounge with confortable seating, quirkily decorated with bas relief artworks and a vitrine containing fossils + a variety of interesting and antique found objects. As the only guest, I was offered a free room upgrade which I accepted, and a base of fresh lilac blooms. I found this small, family-run hostel a delight — and very good value. It is a little distance from the centre of Yerevan and there is a local bus but I went backwards and forwards inexpensively by taxis ordered through the Yandex App.
