Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaIf you want a glimpse of life in an authentic Armenian village home then this place is for you. I would recommend ordering their dinner if you would like to try wholesome local food. Their homemade wine was exellent - better than those I tried at the local wine tasting venues. The hostess was really helpful in giving me suggestions on places to visit in the area. I loved my time here.

We loved everything and especially the nice family running it. The room is very nice, the bed is comfortable. There is air-conditioner. Great WiFi. There is a parking lot in the street. We had beautiful traditional breakfasts, and we could also order super dinner including delicious traditional food, a lot of vegetable and the best wine I've ever tasted in my life. Their big dauther even sang for us lovely Armenian songs during dinner which was so lovely. The whole family was so kind and available. Areni is also pretty.

GermanyIf you go to Areni you should definitly stay at Liviti. The hospitality is amazing. The guesthouse is run by a super friendly and very nice familiy. Manuk drove us to Noravank for a good price and to our next far away hotel. When we arrived we were offerd tea, coffee, ccookies and homemade wine. They are offering dinner for a good price and it is quite good. A vegetarian option was no problem. The daughter of the house played for us some songs on her guitar during dinner, which was lovely. We reall felt y at home!

NetherlandsThe map originally brought me to a road that was hard to access the house, but luckily I got help from neighbors, they showed me the right way.
The host family did an excellent job making me feel at home in their place. The room was perfectly clean, had a separate bathroom. I got a delicious homemade dinner (for an extra cost) and had a wonderful conversation with the family.

Very beautiful and hearty family who besides all the farming and cooking, raise three talented daughters. We have stayed and extra day there. There is so much to see and to taste.

LithuaniaWe traveled in Armenia for a week and stayed in multiple guest houses. Though every host we had was super hospitable and friendly, LiViTi totally exceeded our expectations! The hosts, Gohar, Manuk, and their daughters, welcomed us as warmly as if we were their family. Their eldest daughter performed some beautiful songs for us during the dinner, the food was absolutely delicious, and we had a chance to taste family's homemade wine and vodka which were super tasty as well. The rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable. The only thing we felt bad about was that we only stayed there for one night. Hope to visit you again! Thank you!

DenmarkI am a bit fussy with pillows and the one in my room wasn't great, but compared to the overall fantastic experience I wouldn't want to complain about that :)
I loved my stay at LiViTi, it is run by the most wonderful family who do everything to make you comfortable and make you feel like you are part of the family. The homemade food and wine is some of the best I experienced all my time in Armenia, and all fresh from the garden / locally sourced. The eldest daughter came to play guitar and sing traditional Armenian songs whilst me and the other guests were enjoying dinner which was a really lovely experience. I would have loved to stay longer here if I had the time, cannot recommend highly enough!

IrelandCurrently there is a lot of work being done on the local streets. Not their fault! Don’t take shortcuts on Google maps and avoid arriving after dark. That’s all!
What an amazing experience in Areni. The family goes above and beyond to give guests the best experience. The rooms are nice, with good attention to details and a very personal touch to it. Dinner food was a highlight together with their own house wine! And some beautiful live acoustic performance by one of their daughters. Truly memorable!

NetherlandsAbsolutely 10 of out 10! It's a very nice homestay. The host family is extremely friendly and kind. We felt home immediately. The road outside was under construction so we had some difficulties driving there. But the father of the family came to rescue us immediately and we found the place in no time. The paid dinner is very delicious (make sure to book in advance). The homemade wine is super nice, and the daughter of the family even played some guitar music for us. The room is extremely clean and we got everything we need. Highly recommended!

ItalyIf you want to get in touch with the real Armenia, you definitely have to stop in Areni. Here you will find a beautiful valley and welcoming people, with trees blossoming and stork nests in spring. The time has stopped and LiViTi is the warmest place to enjoy this part of Armenia. You won't feel a stranger here, but part of the family. Best place visited in Armenia!

United StatesThis is out of the owners' control, but be forewarned that the village experiences power outages lasting each an hour or two during even minor rainstorms and sometimes but less often during snowstorms.
The house from the outside is a completely typical village house, but the two guest rooms have been renovated to modern standards and are kept very clean. The bathroom is also clean and fresh and has no signs of mold or mildew, although a fan would be for the best. My small room had a normal-sized (not excessively low) table for working on. The hostess, Gohar, is an excellent cook. The breakfasts included in the price of the room were the best I have had in Armenia and were varied almost every day. The dinner I had once was also very good. The hostess's husband for a very modest fee drove me out to Norovank, from which I set out on a hike, and he picked me up again in the evening at the appointed place. He also drove me out to catch the bus to Yerevan. Heating: the heater / air conditioner was sufficient to keep the room at a pretty comfortable temperature most of the time. Hot Water: It took me some time to figure out, but I was able to adjust the hot water to a point comfortably between scalding and freezing. I never had a shower go suddenly cold. Wifi: good as long as there was no power outage (see below) The hostess did my laundry for free. For those spending only a day in Areni, the Selavatar landslide dam is the must-see, in my opinion. It is much more interesting and in a much more beautiful location than the Areni-1 cave.

LiViTi was the perfect place to stay for three days exploring Areni. The host family are gracious, humble people who went out of their way to make me feel very relaxed. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and for a very reasonable price, I was able to enjoy fresh home-made cooking in the evening too. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location of the property is ideal - you are very close to many of the main tourist sites nearby such as Noravank, Areni-1 Cave and Selavatar. If you are without a car, you can easily reach Areni from Yerevan by bus. Gohar was in fact kind enough to book me a ticket for the return journey back to Yerevan too which was very helpful. I can definitely recommend staying at LiViTi. Thank you so much for a pleasant stay in beautiful Areni!

Our stay in Areni was great, all thanks to the incredible Gohar and Manuk at LiViTi - the reviews are true. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with open arms, immediately making us feel at home. The rooms were spotless and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The real gem of our stay, however, was undoubtedly the heartfelt hospitality we experienced. We were invited to a homemade dinner, where we ate kebabs grilled by the husband in the garden, refreshing salads, and of course, their own wine and apricot spirit - all of which were so tasty. Dinner was more than a meal; it was a cultural exchange. We were given a glimpse into their daily life, and their daughter shared a wealth of information about the local sights, which we afterwards went to see - for example wine tasting at their relatives, Noravank monastery or Areni-1 cave, all of which were only a few minutes drive away. We highly recommend LiViTi to anyone seeking an authentic Armenian experience. We will definitely visit again should we come to Armenia.

United KingdomManuc and Gohar and their 3 daughters are all involved in the running of this delightful family guest house. They were more than helpful with providing a brief history of the local area and Armenia, and also advice on places to visit. Gohar, with help from her daughters, prepared lovely Armenian dinners (optional) and substantial breakfasts. I was fortunate to be able to sample Manuc's homemade vodka and red wine. If you are visiting the Areni area, I would highly recommend that you experience this wonderful guest house. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
