The view is amazing. The rooms are very clean and modern. The design of the entire place is so beautiful. The pool renders a romantic feeling to your stay. The coffee is great and it can be enjoyed on the wonderful terrace overseeing Cluj city. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices of the rooms are so low considering the confort and amenities. I strongly recommend!

A fantastic luxury pad for my stay in Cluj-Napoca. Perfect location for anyone, like me, arriving by train and not wanting to lug their bags too far! Still close enough to the centre of town to walk easily. Comfiest nights' sleep I've had so far on a two-month journey through Europe. Fast stable WiFi.
While the Grand Hotel Italia certainly has potential, it's clear that there are areas in need of improvement to truly deliver the luxury experience that guests anticipate.

Breakfast was good, but they're not very creative - every day was absolutely the same stuff.You have plenty to choose from, but don't expect the 5-star all inclusive buffet.... the ladies from the staff are very nice and helpful. we complained about the noise and the lack of AC and they managed to change our room after the first night, but we were told we were very lucky because normally everything is taken. But they are always nice and friendly.
We had an amazing stay! The area of the resort is beautiful, just as our room. The bed was very comfortable as well. We really enjoyed the spa and swimming facilities, as everything was so nicely put together. Dinner and breakfast were both served in the restaurant, and were very tasty and extensive.
The resort is not far from the city, but it is remote and surrounded by nature. It is the only spa resort in the Cluj area worth spending a dime for. The room design is classic, but that can induce that disconnecting or romantic mood.
