The lounge area with the giant fireplace is awesome, very nice food, very spacious rooms and first class facilities such as the onsens and indoor swimming pool. The decor could be interpreted as dated (as other reviews have stated) but we felt this simply adds to the warmth and cosiness of the establishment. The service here is seriously next level and it is fantastic value for money.

The onsen with outdoor view is superb & a must try! Breakfast is okay, I've been to other hotel with much variety but this hotel serve a nice one.

Restaurant Beaux Sejours offers Western cuisine for breakfast and dinner. There are also 7 other restaurants in the resort area. Meal options include Sukiyaki, Shabu-shabu, Sushi, Western buffet, Chinese and Italian cuisine. Grand Prince is the quietest among all the Prince Hotels in Karuizawa. I enjoyed the quietness and relaxing atmosphere. The daily lounge facilities available to all guests from 10am to 8pm was great! The french dinner ( paid) was exquisite and reasonably priced.

Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas and guests can relax on the massage chairs. A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Clean, calm and the service is exceptional. The included breakfast and dinner are wonderful, and the spa is a lovely place to relax. Lots of thoughtful touches in the hotel like stargazing equipment, a coffee machine and a little snack bar.
