A wonderful stay at the seaside. The hotel is located on the beachfront, with its own sandy beach. The breackfast is generous with a wide diversity to choose from. The hotel is located some 20 minutes walking distance from the center of the Agios Nikolaos.

This resort has a private beach area and car hire is available. An array of activities is offered in the area, such as windsurfing and diving. Nikos Kazantzakis Airport is at a distance of 70 km. Free private parking is possible on site. Absolutely stunning. The views are spectacular.

Set on a hill full of aromatic plants in Kato Zakros Village, Terra Minoika Boutique resort is constructed of local stone and wood and is just 300 metres from the beach. Its self-catered accommodation offers custom built furnishings, a sea-view veranda and free Wi-Fi. The breakfast was fresh, homemade pastries and local fruits and vegetables from Stella's mothers garden. We also liked that every morning we collected our breakfast on trays and sat on our beautiful private terrace with amazing views of the sea.

St. Nicolas Bay Resort lies on a private beachfront, 1.5 km from Agios Nikolaos. It features 2 outdoor, not heated, swimming pools (not heated) and a luxurious spa and wellness centre. Its stylish accommodation offers spectacular views of the charming Μirabello Bay. The service was top notch. Everyone was helpful and answered any requests we had. We had half board and though previous comments said that the food was not good, I beg to differ. The breakfast was ample with lots of buffet options (hot and cold) as well as the menu (you could order omelets, and other items off the menu). Frappes and Fredo espressos were not problem. The setting at breakfast was beautiful overlooking the pool and ocean. One of the previous comments said that there weren't any Greek offerings at dinner. Being Greek-American, I thought the inclusive dinner options did a great job with an overall selection to appeal to everyone as well as classic Greek and Cretan options. Obviously, if one truly wants a true Cretan dining experience, then I recommend eating off property, but we ate both nights we stayed at the resort, and we all greatly enjoyed. I've been to many all-inclusive hotels in Mexico and the Caribbean and the food and drinks at this establishment were the best we've had. The hotel manager was always present, making rounds ensuring people were enjoying their stay. In fact, our son celebrated his birthday one night and the hotel staff provided a dairy-free cake (he's allergic to dairy) for his bday complete with candles! Lastly, the resort is beautifully and tastefully decorated. I greatly enjoyed walking around, taking in all the sights. The designers did an exceptional job making it feel very Greek island-esque with every nook and cranny having artwork or decorations.

Absolutely everything was outstanding. Greatest value for the money I have ever seen. The service of the staff was absolutely incredible. We went there to scuba dive and their in house team were supper friendly and professional, a true pleasure to dive with.

The spacious, whitewashed rooms and suites are elegantly decorated in soft tones creating a serene atmosphere. The bungalows are surrounded by bougainvillea-filled courtyards and include private swimming pools. Good buffet breakfast with an option to order entrees. Staff were stellar, extremely helpful and attentive. Big room with our own pool and a great view of the ocean. The spa was wonderful, a beautiful space with a salt water pool.

Built on the panoramic slopes above the seafront, the Miramare is a hotel and bungalows complex situated at the peaceful Gargadoros. It features an indoor pool and 3 outdoor pools.

All accommodations at the Miramare Resort have a stunning view of the town of Aghios Nikolaos and the Mirabello Bay. Decorated in traditional Cretan style, each unit is air conditioned with a large living space and satellite TVs. Miramare Resort has different kind of rooms and we received an amazing upgrade for our 1 week vacation there. Our room was clean and modern, with a small private pool outside!!! Fantastic!!! The view was breathtaking!!! Lola at the Reception was super kind and Nectarius was also helpful and professional. We did not use the hotel restaurant but we tried the near Meltemi & Gargadoros (few min walking distance), both very very good (overall the Greek food is delicious). And for a last drink of the day, we suggest To Votsalo (cafe' - bar) with a small lovely beach and fantastic view of the bay by night. To the other side of the Resort you will find the very nice Almyros Beach but if you have a car drive all the way to Voulisma (15min)!!! Maybe the best vacation ever had! Thank you Crete!
