Situated in Nelly Bay, just 50 metres from the beach, Island Leisure Resort offers self-contained bungalows with a flat-screen TV. The property also features a swimming pool and tennis court. Free WiFi is available in public areas, and on-site parking is provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions and also spoke to me showing an interest in my holiday experience overall. For example, one staff member told me more information about Ravenswood from her own personal understanding of this gold mining town. We loved the pool because it was clean and a great swimming experience. I loved how the spa is a shallow part of the pool rather than a heated exclusive area. The Polynesian style accommodation was the size of a two bedroom unit and it was easy to keep clean. It also had kitchen facilities. It was just what we wanted. We were located walking distance from the beach and a grocery store. The boys loved the games room. We played pool a couple of times and tennis.

I loved the garden with all the flowers and birds. Location was good, not to far away from the centre of Nelly Bay. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The resorts location is excellent. I was also happy that my room got updated as I visited to celebrate my birthday.

Good vibes, feels like a little resort!
Very well quipped with pretty much everything we needed. It was clean with good water pressure in the shower. The apartment was very spacious with lots of room for luggage etc. The pool area was nicely kept and the water very warm. The local bus stopped a few minutes walk up the road. The port is a shortish walk away with a really good supermarket there. There is a small supermarket at the end of the road close to the resort but we found little we wanted there and preferred the supermarket opposite the ferry.

- Layout of the retreat. With the building's architecture and spread it felt like stepping back in time and had a nostalgic feel to it (but not in a dated way). - Value for money. This resort may not be the epitome of luxury but the rooms have everything you need (kitchenette was a bonus) and ours was clean on arrival. - Staff were friendly and very helpful. - Resort located only 1km away from ferry terminal, and a bus stop is located right outside. - Bird feeding.
