we stayed at hotel kansas city last year and we absolutely loved it, we came to watch the superbowl and root the Kansas Coty Chiefs on, so we had to come back and stay here again, the history of the hotel is so intriguing to us, we love the old time feel and the luxury of it all, the hotel lobby bar/food was great and i love the little coffee bar, we will def be back another time

Only minutes from the airport which was what we needed after travelling for 24 hours. Our room was clean and comfortable with basic furnishings. Not the height of luxury by any means but it suited us for one night before travelling onwards.

Do not expect anything and you will be fine. No housekeeping service.. you have to go get your own towels if you stay more than 1 night. They charge you an extra $13/night for “resort fee” which supposedly includes bottled water but you have to get that too. Our floor smelled like a foul mix of weed and cigarettes. And the best kicker is they literally have spa in their name but there is no Spa!! Or even a pool. The only thing positive is the shower is fantastic.

The design of this property is top notch. No detail left untouched. The lobby bar has an intentional speakeasy feel - like we just stepped back in time. And the rooftop bar feels like a resort where time stands still - the views are beautiful and the people were so welcoming and kind. Even our teen boys loved it. (We were in town for a Royals game.)

The room and area were very nice for the price. It’s not a luxury resort so as long as you’re not expecting luxury for nothing, you’ll be fine. It’s clean and comfortable enough to be a good option for you. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay there again. I felt safe and didn’t have any problems at all. If you’re on a budget this would be a safe choice.

The hotel was a weird mix of well renovated and run down. The bathroom, bed and blinds looked like they belonged in a resort hotel. The bed was comfortable, and everything was well cleaned. The breakfast that morning was also fantastic. A large selection that beat most of the continental breakfasts I've had before.
