Great location to Onsen hop. They help you get to the Onsen in Nyuto. Very relaxing resort and great food was included in the stay. Onsen was also very nice. Great view.

This hotel is more like a resort in the mountains but keeping the spirit of a ryokan. The building is a bit dated but in good condition. The staff provided attentive service and were helpful. The meals were buffet style with some things prepared in the moment by a chef, which means that the food was plentiful.

The room was comfortable, warm and very spacious. The hotel is situated a short drive from Lake Tazawa, Tazawako Ski Resort and the Nyutou Onsen Area, which made it easy to access all these places with a minimum of trouble. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to tell me about local sights and attractions. Admittedly this was done in Japanese. I want to go back, but preferably out of season when the hotel is not quite so busy.

It’s a ski lodge, so don’t expect any luxury, but the beds were fine and the room was clean. There is a communal area with a kitchen and other facilities, and a hot spring in the basement. The one staff member we met was very friendly. We visited in the summer so it was quiet.

The resort is great for families. The onsen even had bath toys for kids and there is a play area. The lounge has a microwave and free drinks. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfy.
