Kon Tum is great for travellers who want to get off the beaten track. The locals LOVE foreigners!! I had an amazing time here. People were friendly and I was invited to do anything from have a drink of water with them, to being invited into their homes for meals. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
Kon Tum is a great base for trekking and insights into the culture of the ethnic Bahnar people, which is a mix of Catholicism and indigenous customs. Tall thatched roof "rongs" which are village community halls of the Bahnar can be seen dotted around the edges of town as well as in villages in the surrounding countryside.

The best thing was the staff! Both staff members were so friendly and helpful, we loved chatting to them. We arrived really early in the morning from our night bus and we were able to check in early which was great! Great central location, we were able to walk to the wooden church and the Kon Tum museum. The hotel is right by a busy market with lots of cafes and banh mi places around. Also the room had a fridge and a kettle, a comfy bed and a comfy armchair. The bathroom had everything you need and was very clean.
This is a beautifully designed and crafted property that despite being in the heart of the Kon Tum is peaceful and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom were great size. The staff incredibly friendly and kind. This has been one of our favourite stays in Vietnam.
Very pleasant place. We had a brand new room which was very large, cool and clean . Staff were great as was breakfast.
