The hotel building is brand new and the heating and air conditioning worked great. Beach is 5 minutes walk. Really great location. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

We stayed in Bi Chay area which is no longer a sleepy fishing village but is a growing attraction. SUNWORLD has started a huge development there. The Sunwheel is not to be missed. Go late afternoon so you can experience the cable car view by daylight followed by the night time spectacular. You can organise a boat trip of Ha Long Bay through your Hotel or one of the many agents there. This is a must. At night Bi Chay comes alive - karaoke, bars, music, restaurants. Well worth the visit.
Ha Long bay was worth the trip for the scenery and the cave tour. It's pretty touristy, and, surprisingly (to me) for a UNESCO site, the waters appear to be fairly polluted with garbage. Hopefully this will change.
Ha Long Bay is beautiful but make sure you our boat cruise sails further out of the main bay! It is far less crowded and equally beautiful!
Ha long Bay is gorgeous but more must be done about the trash floating around. It was very sad to see plastic bags, empty medicine bottles , large shampoo containers and all sorts of rubbish polluting the sea and ruining the experience
Ha long bay is getting damaged by the amount of cruise ship. Though, extremely picturesque and unique, every direction you look there are hundreds of cruise ships. I worry that the natural beauty is going to be lost if better management is not implemented.
Ha Long Bay we did over two nights, well worth the money. Scenery, sunsets, kayaking, swimming and food on board our boat was amazing. Could not fault our cruise and spent very little time around other boats, even caught a squid fishing one night. Water quality in some parts poor and shame teams of rubbish removal do not exist to assist.

Special Place not overcrowded during school holidays, Traveled by Plane to Cat Bi airport Ha Phong then experienced local slow ferry over and fast ferry back given total population locals 10,000 building to 20,000 in time it was top book a water taxi to travel Ha Long Bay and to monkey island careful their monkeys love to take sunglasses, mobile phone and small items, Try local beer Ha Phong it is good trip certainly market and sea fishing village. 9/10
We took a 3 day 2 night cruise and it was the best way to see part of Ha Long bay. Although there are other boats around it’s surprisingly not too overcrowded
The trip on Ha long bay is quite special. Azalea cruises is well worth the money and not expensive..everything is run like a Swiss watch. The scenery is quite something and we even biked in to a remote village through a Mountain track which was easy for most. We stayed two nights on the boat as one night would not be enough to see and do the things that this cruise has to offer. In 10 years this will not be the same as tourism and the pollution is catching up.Rubbish on the beaches and plastic bottles floating past...no excuses for this. So go now and see the beauty before its too late.
There is so much to like about the Diamond Luxury Hotel. First of all, the staff was amazing. Hieu, after just one call, was able to book our transportation to and from Hanoi and our day cruise on Ha Long Bay and he did it perfectly. We even asked to change around some of our activities after booking and it was no problem at all. In addition, the value for the money of this place is incredible as the rooms were modern and clean, and the views from the 9th floor Bar and Restaurant were simply amazing. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Really nice cruise along Bai Tu Long Bay. We really enjoyed that this part of the bay is more quiet and tranquil than the crowded Ha Long Bay. Magnificent views and fun activities! The boat is clean and the room very spacious and comfortable Our guide Mr Morning was super friendly, attentive and spoke excellent English (which is something not that common in Vietnam). He really took good care of us! Thank you. I think this kind of cruise is a must do when visiting Vietnam. Absolutely worth it.

Wendy, the cruise director, was a joy to talk to and her team made a skeptical cruiser a believer. The ship itself is beautiful and stands as a clear cut above the rest of the Ha Long Bay vessels. The food was very hit or miss but my party and I found the beef dinner option to be one of the best meals we had during our stay in Vietnam. The room was an unexpected highlight of this experience with probably the most luxurious feeling shower I've ever gotten the privilege to experience.

Everything about this little hotel. We booked the king room and it was totally worth it. My girlfriend was delighted with the room condition. Clean, everything brand new, clean bathtub, toilet with electrical bidet, a shower room...to sum up, it is well equipped. Staff were super friendly, even recommended us to take a Ha Long Bay cruise tour package in which we totally had a blast with. I would recommend anyone looking for a cozy stay to take this hotel up with no hesitation.
Golden Palm was a great stop off point for us before we went onto our Ha Long Bay Cruise. Phuong at reception was lovely! She made sure we were always happy and gave us recommendations for food and also booked our bus to Ninh Binh. She was so helpful! The hotel room was very big and the bed was super comfy! Good selection for breakfast too! We loved our stay and would totally stay again. Thank you Phuong for making our stay memorable :)
The hotel itself is immaculate, the staff go above abd beyond in every single capacity. I would like to give a special mention about Pham Viet Ahn (Benjamin) who looked after me and my girlfriend throughout with a constant smile as well as giving us a free upgrade. Also amazing were Than Duc Nguyen and Nghia who welcomed us very warmly. The room was exceptional with panoramic views from multiple bay windows across Ha long bay.
Staffs were really kind and nice. They even helped us find my friend's phone! Hotel room and facilities were clean and high-end. Night dinner and Morning Buffet was superb and so delicious!! Especially I liked various breads. In front of hotel, there are Ha long bay Islands so scenery was also top-notch!! Besides, all of them above is only $60 in a day!! What a reasonable and inexpensive hotel!!!
The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. I was getting a night bus from Ha Gaing that arrived in Ha Long Bay at 4am. The check in staff stayed up to allow me to check in. They organised a day cruise for me and I was able to get some laundry done. When I was checking out the lady gave me some Vietnamese sweets and orange juice while I waited for my bus to take me to Hanoi. Thank you.
Excellent service, big and clean rooms, good bathroom facilities and complimentary fruit in room. Incredibly helpful staff, organised a private tour for us at a good price, and they found a lost shirt in our room after checkout, contacted us and posted it to our next hotel free of charge. Really good and clean apartment. Really well equipped with washing machine, utensils to cook etc. Situated in a beautiful location along Ha Long Bay. Offers great views of the surrounding being on the 11th floor. The owner Angela was very helpful and provided us extra items like detergent powder when we needed it urgently even when they were not part of our original booking.
The staff were very attentive, sometimes too attentive but did the best they could to help us. Hotel was very spacious and when we went, we were probably the only guests in the hotel so we had all the space we wanted in the pool. The staff has been extremely helpful with booking taxis and tours for us. One of the few places in Ha Long Bay with air conditioning.
If you don’t need to use swimming pool, gym or don’t need to have hotel’s free breakfast, so you definitely should stay at this property because it was located in A La Carte Ha Long Bay Hotel, but because it is being run by a private host so price is much more reasonable than hotel’s rooms. The host was nice. And the room was as beautiful and as good as hotel’s.

The Restaurant was very good and had a lot of different Vietnamese dishes. The breakfast was also good but you had to chose one dish out of a list. It is not like a buffet. And at the Rezeption they booked a bus for us for our way to Ninh Binh. The boat tour to the Ha Long Bay we booked at the Rezeption too and worked very well for 450.000 Dong.
Beautiful hotel with fantastic views of Ha Long Bay. Reception and dining staff is friendly, professional, and very helpful. Rooms are modern, well appointed and comfortable. We had an issue with our initial room and staff resolved quickly even providing an upgraded room.

We had very nice view of the roller coaster in the amusement park and view of Ha Long Bay. There were numerous eateries within easy walking distance. The breakfast was sumptuous and offered a wide range of choices, mostly aimed at Asian guests.
