Text from staff after checking in making sure we were happy with the room which may be a bit invasive for some but fine to me and its nice to have a modern method point of contact other than a landline phone or going to front desk. Pool was great for kids. Fresh filtered water tap to fill up jugs before we left. 5 minute walk from downtown or windsurfing area, 2 minute drivs. Breakfast was good and fresh waffle making was cool. Room was a nice layout and felt big. Very friendly with dogs and a nice area right next to the front door where you can throw a ball for a dog and they can use the bathroom. Overall good vibe, you could tell everyone was pretty happy with their stay.

The view of the Columbia River Gorge and being so close to the falls. I found a great walking/biking path right next to the river. You can walk all the way into Portland if you wanted to. Rooms are spacious, great water pressure, very comfortable beds. Brigham Fish Market had amazing fish & chips and breakfast at the Bridgeside was wonderful, even for gluten-free folks.
Cascade Locks is a great place and the motel had nice clean rooms with a coffee machine, a nice TV and a microwave with fridge. Beds were comfy and the staff were very friendly. Had an A/C which was very appreciated.
It’s our 2nd stay at Skamania Lodge. The first was 10 years ago. Both times were memorable.
