Gura is in central location for the monasteries, Radauti, Suceava and Pojorata--all sites we visited. Two of the top monasteries, Humor and Voronets are very close.
Suceava makes a perfect center for exploring Bukovina's beautiful painted monasteries, which is why I went there. The airport is several miles out of town, and the only transport to and from is by taxi. I recommend "HelloBukovina" for a day tour of the monasteries, though you can also explore them on your own if you have a car.
Cetatea de scaun Suceava did not have signs explaining about the building but if you are visiting after 1st August there will be some more rooms opened with some exhibition. I would love to go again in August for the Medieval art festiv. Next to the citadel there's a very nice museum displaying houses from Bucovina. I also recommend the ethnographic museum that is in the building of an old inn. For food I recommend restaurant Bucovina. It has good food, rather big portions and it's not that expensive either. Close to it you can visit Bucovina museum (where Sfefan the great's throne is displayed) and SF Ioan cel nou church. If you travel by car just 10-15 mins away from Suceava you can see Dragomirna church. A bit further away there is Patrauti church which is the oldest church built by Stefan cel mare (Stefan the great)/
Personally i wasn't that impressed with Suceava ,old centre is not much to say about and lacks character and eating places .
Suceava is ancient capital of state, before Osmans invasion. The most remarquable in the city is its old fortress, but what for most people is coming to the region, are its famous painted monasteries, Voronets, Suchevita, Moldavita etc. One of greatest cultural experiencies in my life, thanks to Hello Bukovina tours

Gura Humorului
Excellent stay at Voro Mold near the Voronet Monastery. It was a last minute choice oin our road trip trough Romania and it was perfect. Location is close to several painted monasteries in Bucovina, and other atractions such as Suceava was makes it good either for a base, or for a final or departure destination. The rooms were very confortable adn we were allowed to use the kitchen wich for us was a plus. Next day were greeted with a cake for breakfast as weel as cofee and milk. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.
Excellent location. In particular, the women who seem to run the hotel - they do everything - were excellent. Maybe 4 women we saw over several days. Breakfast buffet was very good and they serve the coffee etc. and make sure everyone has what they need. The coffee was good and it was hot (not always the case in places). Our room was good size, as we opted for more room. Had day trips. We saw the painted Monasteries while staying in Suceava and took other day trips from Vatra Dornei, eg Ciocanesti which was great.

- good location (close to to lidl store, penny supermarket and few local shops) - quiet and peaceful (the house is far from the road); -having your own parking space, which is often a problem in Suceava; - two bedrooms; - a balcony where you can rest or hang clothes to dry; - there was everything necessary for a comfortable stay for our family with children; - owner of the apartment is a very nice and pleasant lady. She tried to help and improve our stay all the time of our being there.
The Province Hotel in Suceava is a peaceful spot, right next to a forest. It's so quiet and away from city noise, making it the perfect place to relax. They also serve a tasty breakfast that's a great start to the day. Additionally, they have a spacious guest room where you can spend wonderful time admiring the beautiful interior design. I'm so excited to stay here; it's truly the best spot I've found for a peaceful getaway.

The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need. I was in Suceava for a wedding and it served as a great home base. Communication with the host is very easy and his English is impeccable, which was comforting as I was travelling alone and visiting Romania for the first time. The location is also very practical, and I could easily walk to a supermarket and into the town centre for supplies, restaurants etc.

The apartment was excellent and really felt like home! It has a comfy bed, sofa, TVs in both rooms, lots of kitchen essentials that you might need. Everything was nice and clean. I booked this for my Ukrainian mother in law, fleeing from the war, as it was one of the few accommodations available in Suceava. It brought tears to my eyes when she explained that they refused payment, and that they were helping other people, providing food and supplies of immediate need. These are true brothers and sisters. I was very happy with my stay at Casa Bucovineana. Clean, warm and comfortable rooms, very friendly and accommodating staff. Staff at the hotel was very happy to answer all my questions and call a taxi when I needed one. The hotel is also a short walk from Carrefour and other shops. If I go to Suceava in the future, I want to stay again in this hotel.

Our hosts were wonderful and offered us the best of the Romanian warmth. It is a lovely kitchenette carefully decorated with flowers everywhere and an excellent toilet with bathtub. Close to Suceava and next to all main roads to visit the monasteries — but shielded from any noise. Come summer or winter, a must!

It's a three stars rated hotel, however it looks like a 5 stars one! Extreme cleanliness, super comfy bed with nice sheets. The hotel sits on top of two lakes and nearby (adjacently) there's an adventure park and a modern spa center. Highly recommended for your stay in Falticeni / Suceava.
