Located in the historical town of Coimbra, this hotel has convenient (although limited) free parking on the main road. The Staff was extremely kind. We were greeted with some refreshments upon our arrival. A really nice gesture after a long road trip. Every room is themed after a writer, we had books in our room, a leaflet with a bedtime story and complimentary water… and the bed time chocolate. Our room was spotless, spacious and very nicely decorated with amazing river views. Breakfast, served on wooden tables, had a great variety of sweet and savory. Everything was delicious. The entire hotel is decorated like a home, so every corner makes you feel at home!

The view from the room and restaurant was just amazing and we were very happy with the breakfast (fresh orange juice, local cheese and pastries, very good bread). We had dinner at the restaurant on the first night, which was also delicious and I think the price was also fair for what was offered. The jacuzzi, pool and gym were also nice.

It’s a large family managed hotel, with a familiar sense. It has a lovely spacious sitting room by reception and a working lift to get you to your room. The cleaning staff are very friendly and the hotel owner is a legend. It’s located right in the middle of Luso centro so all is in reach. The bedroom has good air conditioner which is brilliant for the hot days. This hotel has loads of potential and I know it’s being improved each year.
The location of the property was great, lots of restaurants around and very close to the main shopping street. Super close to Fado ao Centro if you are interested in listening to Fado in Coimbra. Our host Andre was very responsive when we encountered some issues with the AC. He dropped by within 15 minutes to address the problem. Having a washer was also a plus for our family.
Easy access to Óbidos old town. we would recommend this hotel for only short visit while targeting to do sightseeing of Óbidos historic sites and around town. The pool is good for after site visit for chilling down and a quick rest before contributing the Centro Area in Portugal

Stunning hotel, in a beautiful location. Room was bigger than we imagined, with a view overlooking the lake. Staff were really friendly. We took our own bikes and used the facilities on the lake. Great location for families 🙂

Wonderful establishment, with stunning rooms and overall ambiance. Great breakfast. Majority of the staff is extremely nice (especially the reception team). Restaurant is good with a solid menu. All in all one of the best stays we have experienced. Next time we are in Portugal we will definitely try to include this in our itinerary again.

Absolute hidden gem - especially if you get to stay on the Island. Don't let yourself be spooked by the quick crossing (that you have to do yourself) because the reward awaits. Hint: come in at night and turn the lights on to experience the amazing effect of all the fairylights.
