The view... Just as expected or even better from the room facing My. Ngauruhoe... The eerie wilderness just stuck with me. Food wise - u could cook in the communal kitchen or order. They had vegan options in food too. Overall, great.

Suncourt Hotel & Conference Centre offers spectacular views of Lake Taupo and the volcanoes of Tongariro National Park. Room had everything you need for a few day stay. Location was perfect with a quick walk to heaps of shops and restaurants. Right opposite the lake. Friendly staff. Free car parking. Free WIFI. Laundry room Available. The best thing was pulling up into the car park after a few hours of driving with our toddler, to see the trampoline and swing-set - he was entertained for hours. We will be back for sure.

Hilton Lake Taupo includes free pool and gym access and features views over Lake Taupo and is just minutes away from the town centre. It is a 15-minute drive from Taupo Airport. Excellent Hilton, lovely large room with lake view, great modern outdoor pool and excellent choice and quality of food in hotel restaurant. Staff were always very very courteous.

The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. Love the mulled wine (the best I've ever had in nz). The restaurant was full and the food was amazing, we had seafood chowder, pork ribs, and a burger. The room is spacious and love the idea of providing the electronic blanket.

Lakeland Resort is situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Taupo. Set on 2.8 acres of landscaped grounds, this resort boasts a tennis court, an on-site restaurant and a seasonal outdoor swimming... Loved the room spa bath room was beautiful cleaned. And the view of the lake was awesome

Located in the Tongariro National Park, The Park Hotel Ruapehu offers affordable accommodation in a stunning alpine setting. Guests are provided with free parking and 500MB of free WiFi. The room was heated on arrival. Late check in, but greeted by friendly staff. Restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, warm fire, excellent service.
