Built in 1865 and restored in 1902, Otira Stagecoach Hotel is situated in the heart of the Arthur's Pass National Park. It offers antiques throughout as well as stagecoaches and horse wagons outside. A unique, 'out of the box' experience. The hotel is a living museum, with antique paraphernalia and curios everywhere. The furniture in the rooms is amazing. Feels like you have stepped back in time to the 1800s. Lester and Sam were excellent as hosts. Meals were great quality and value. The bar (available to in-house guests only) offered beer and wine at reasonable prices. There's not too much accommodation in the Otira / Arthur's Pass area with dining and bar facilities, so the Stagecoach Hotel fills a valuable niche.

Boasting stunning views of mountains, river and the valley, Bealey Hotel is within a 30-minute drive of 5 ski fields. It offers a restaurant, barbecue facilities and free on-site parking. The view was spectacular and the room was wonderful. I loved how the bathroom was so separate from the bedroom so middle night visits didn’t wake each other up.

Situated in Arthur's Pass and only 300 metres from Arthur's Pass National Park, The Tussocks, Arthur's Pass features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. It was a very cozy and clean place to stay, and the host was incredibly friendly. They even allowed me to check in earlier and check out later.

Set within a stunning historic rainforest and walking track, Jackson's Retreat Alpine Holiday Park offers 5-star accommodation with access to a garden and a barbecue. Kiwi cabin was really cute inside, very tidy, clean and cozy. The kitchen facilities were really spacious and the lounge was a cool place to hang out in the evenings. It was well signed and the staff were really friendly and helpful

Located in Otira, 12 km from Devils Punchbowl Falls, Rata Lodge Accommodation provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Bed was comfy, hosts were amazing, great games to pick from, fully stocked kitchen, close to Arthur’s Pass hiking

Set in Arthur's Pass, within 1.4 km of Devils Punchbowl Falls and 600 metres of Arthur's Pass Train Station, Mountain House offers accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi throughout the... The hostel was so clean! The beds were fresh and cozy. The upstairs lounge area has a tea & coffee station - with milk which was a lovely touch. It's right in the centre of the village too. Would definitely stay again (:

Set in Arthur's Pass and only 11 km from Arthur's Pass National Park, The Loft at Bealey offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The hostess was wonderful! Our airline lost our baggage putting us in a bind and she kindly offered to wash our clothes. She was extremely kind and went above and beyond. The location is spectacular and it is a beautiful property. The loft is a cozy, warm space with all the essentials and spectacular views. Great hiking nearby.

Providing free WiFi throughout the property, Arthur's Pass Motel & Lodge is situated in Arthur's Pass. This property is set a short distance from attractions such as Devils Punchbowl Falls. Short answer: EVERYTHING. Long answer: When we met our host, Taz (sp?), we knew we had landed in the perfect place for our final adventure in NZ. Our room was lovely, sparkling clean and even had a plunge pot for our own morning coffee, along with electric kettle for tea, etc. The shared kitchen and dining room (fully kitted out) offered us the opportunity to share tales and travel ideas with other guests as well as make our own breakfasts and dinners. With a central location directly opposite the general store and close to the track we wanted (Bealey’s Spur) our time spent on travel to/from walks was minimal. And, if you want even more luxury, reserve RM #5, a spacious suite with separate lounging area along with a TV (might want it in case of a rainy forecast and/or more than two people). We feel very fortunate to have been able to stay at this lodge. Definitely a highlight of our 5+ week journey around NZ thanks to the welcoming host’s attention to detail and warmth.
