This is a lovely period house that has been reolcated up onto the hill, the views are stunning. The meals we had were all great, simple wholesome food but prepeared well and served in a lovely dining room. lovely quiet spot and we enjoyed ending the day with a relaxing sit on the veranda and a good book.

Robyn prepared lamb shanks for us for dinner and they were delicious. Unfortunately we think we stayed at the best accommodation early in our trip and nothing else will begin to compare. Breakfast was good, typical continental. From the restaurant deck and pub outside seating, there is a georgeous view overlooking the Hokianga harbour and wharf. Having a beer in the pub was very pleasant .... the view, the music. The staff were very friendly.
