It was very quiet (the hotel was nowhere near capacity), the room was lovely and warm, bathroom was clean and sparkly (that vanity!) and it was close to everything with the main road to the Fiordland National park a stones throw away. Super affordable, it was a very welcoming and friendly experience for a lone traveller.

The accommodation is located in the heart of Te Ānanu right across from the lake and Fiordland national park. Easy access to shops, tours, and eateries. We were able to walk to RealNZ in tow morning to access our Glowworm Cave tour.

Quaint and comfortable. Host was pleasant and helpful providing information on local activities. The property might be a little dated in decor but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Shower worked a treat. I would stay again especially as we also got an upgraded room. Thanks Mel and Mark.

We booked this motel based on the reviews and the location on the waterfront, to be close to the Kepler Water Taxi for our Great Walk early next morning. We got upgraded on arrival, the one bedroom apartment had everything you need for an extended stay, with a well equipped kitchenette, very comfy bed and a 5 star quality shower! The owner was extremely accommodating, allowing us to leave our car in their parking lot while we enjoyed Kepler Track. Coming back form our walk, we decided to spend the evening in Te Anau, so we booked a room last minute on line. Again, we got upgraded! The powerful shower and the crispy linens were so welcomed after 2 nights in the huts... Thank you, Edgewater Motel, for your hospitality, we will be back at your place next time adventures bring us back to Fiordlands!

Lovely lodge in a beautiful setting. Nice, comfortable rooms, very atmospheric common spaces with big fireplace. Amazing, friendly staff. Very good food in the onsite restaurant.

Basic clean accomodation with a wonderful view. We arrived very late and expected an envelope collection but Tony greeted me and kindly took the time to show me to the room. It was so kind as we were tired and hos help made our arrival really easy to park up right outside our room. Lovely guy too! Thank you Tony. Great communication throughout and the beds were very comfortable. It was lovely and quiet and I slept very well. Great place as a stop off when self driving to Milford Sound.

We stayed here for only 1 night to visit Milford sound. For this price, I think the room was really good and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of room as we enter room to keep our luggage and other stuff. I was happy to see the Bathtub and mirror with LED lights and the toilet was separated from the bathroom. Parking was available too with no extra charges. TV with Netflix was provided (you need to use your own logins though). Close proximity to Town center and Milford sound. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Village In Hotel.

Right by the water, super location

The apartment was very nice. The green spaces are lovely. There is even a playground for families with chidren. Thanks to John for welcoming us. It was well situated to go Milford Sound.

The motel itself is quite old, but you can clearly see the effort the new owners put into this place. The rooms are big and comfortable (we got a free upgrade!) and the bathroom was completely new. Reception was very friendly and received lots of information for visiting Milford Sound and local restaurants. A very recommended stay!

Easy access to town! Clean facilities all around!

We had a three-bedroom, two bathroom unit (apartment 51) and it was super comfortable. The location is very close to all town restaurants.
