Situated in Little Wanganui, Little Wanganui Hotel has a restaurant, bar and free WiFi throughout the property. The hotel features family rooms. Lovely little cabins older style but clean, tidy and warm in the winter months. Pet friendly and I had the privilege of an early morning meeting with a kiwi (BIRD) who took advantage of a left over dog biscuit left out the night before🤦😁 all in all little Wanganui is one stop away from the end of the road in theses parts but holds its own none the less.

Last Resort Karamea features a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Karamea. The last resort should be your first port of call at Karamea! Excellent value. Comfy, clean and spacious with wonderfully friendly staff. The bar and pool room are warm and welcoming and the meals in the restaurant are delicious! Fabulous value for money. We will definitely stay here anytime we come back to karamea.

A bonus to have restaurant onsite which had delicious food with great service at a excellent price. Bonus was all units on ground floor with parking outside units .

The Old Vicarage is set in Reefton. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The non-smoking unit includes a fireplace, bath and flat-screen TV with Blu-ray... Hands down, the Old Vicarage is the absolute most enjoyable BnB we have ever stayed in. It's very spacious. It's NOT a typical kiwi motel (which we had been frequenting around the south island til then). It has an old, comfortable "relaxing in your slippers" kind of feel to it. The beautiful polished wood (pine?) flooring was a joy to behold. We arrived quite early, because of rain which forced us to decide to skip a portion of our planned route. As soon as we got there I thought, this is a LOT better than what we had planned. We started a fire in the welcoming fireplace, using the firewood supplied. We scoured the library and the movie collection, and found that we really needed to stay for about 3 months, there were so many books and movies we wanted to read/watch. The gardens are lovely (a tad less so in the rain, but still...). Overall, it felt more like home than home does. We really loved this place. Can't say that about most motels.

Situated in Westport in the West Coast region with Carters Beach nearby, Carters Beach Bed and Breakfast features accommodation with free private parking. lovely location - very close to the beach and we saw the seals. keith and roz were so friendly and helpful. it felt like staying at a friends place immediately! it's a lovely little community we ate a fantastic meal at a local restaurant walking distance. the room was clean and cozy with a gorgeous wall to floor window out to a private sitting area. breakfast was perfect! choices of toast and jams and cereal yogurt and fruit and ... great coffee !!! it was a wonderful experience and we would love to go back one day. thank you keith and roz!!!

Harold House is set in Reefton and offers a garden and a shared lounge. This villa offers free private parking and a shared kitchen. This is quite simply one of the most fantastic places I have ever stayed. Harold House has been restored to immaculate condition. When we arrived, we spent ages simply wandering around marvelling at these gorgeous, well-appointed rooms and all the fascinating heritage features and items. The location is very convenient in Reefton township, but also quiet. If you are visiting the West Coast, I highly recommend staying here; we wished we had booked longer—in terms of accommodation, it was the best of our entire road trip around the South Island.
