A bustling and vibrant city, where the friendliness and enthusiasm of the locals is contagious! We were travelling through to the Arctic Circle on motorbikes and this was a much needed hotel stop. I found the city to be easy to navigate both on foot sight seeing and in the bike. We will be back 🩵Guest review byNatashaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The town definitely deserves the UNESCO status that it has the buildings date back from the 16th century and with the history of the copper mines makes it all more interesting. The wooden buildings are exceptional and the insight of how the miners used to live. It gives you food for thoughtGuest review byJeanFrance - 10.0

Stayed here to work a flight and was delighted by the location, staff and bar options which are open until 1am, and a restaurant open until 9pm. Fab when options nearby are limited. A lovely garden around the pool area, peaceful and tranquil given its a 4 minute walk from the terminal. Bed were a little soft but once youre in you dont notice. No slamming doors which is a huge bonus in my book, and although no tea and coffee in the room, theres a station for you to make your own for 10sek. Breakfast is plentiful with a huge range of hot and cold options and also, an incredibly peaceful experience. A lovely little gem!Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I was at Hell to see the Hell round for the world rallycross championship, I spent Friday exploring Trondheim as well, the town was great and very easy to get to, with the frequent running train service from the airport to there, in Hell. There’s a decent shopping centre and a few little fast food restaurants, an iconic place to stop and visit is definitely Hell, gods expedition, don’t forget to get your passport stamped at the hell post office too!Guest review byDarrylUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The 'Bakeri' over the road from Tino's Hotell is well worth a visit. It's very expensive, but the cakes and food are delicious. For evening meals, we recommend Tino's - which was exceptional and fairly well priced. There are plenty of buses if you're on foot.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Malvik provided easy access to Trondheim and the many museums and historical sites to see in the area. The neighborhood had a fireworks show for New Year's Eve that was withing walking distance and fun for the whole family. The beaches looked very nice, too, but as we were there in winter, we didn't spend time on the beaches.Guest review bySandraUnited States - 8.0

Trondheim is a charming, compact city that can be easily explored on foot within a day or two. Highlights include the bustling local market at the Torg and the majestic Nidaros Cathedral. The city boasts a diverse culinary scene, offering everything from Continental to Asian cuisine, with plenty of options for vegan and vegetarian travellers. Well-connected to the rest of Norway, Trondheim is accessible by bus, train, and also features an airport for convenient travel.Guest review bySUNDERIndia - 10.0

Beautiful and historical UNESCO world heritage city. Definitely must to visit place. Food and accommodation is more expensive than in Oslo. You should well plan your visit. I recommend you to take walking tour with guide from the MuseumGuest review byAdnan2016Norway - 10.0
We spent the day walking around Trondheim.
We spent the day walking around Trondheim. A highlight was walk up to Kristiansten Fortress and the beautiful view of the city from the top. Reading about WW2 at the fortress was interesting - I wish there would have been more! We enjoyed going through Nidaros Cathedral and Archbishop's Palace. We walked everywhere but could have easily used the bus or scooters if we had wanted to. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

The town was bustling in the evening with lots of folks out and about, dining and shopping. We were looking for authentic Norwegian food that we did not find. There were a few musicians playing in the evening which was nice. We also thought the food was pricy compared with other cities in Norway.Guest review byLAURIEUnited States
