This was our first stay in Norway and we absolutely got blown away with the hospitality and kindness we received from the owner. The room was fresh and cosy with amazing views. The patio had ha shared fireplace for bbq or just enjoy the Fjord. The breakfast was very nice and had many options, and we got served freshly baked bread. This is a really nice place to stay!

Yggdrasil Farmhotel Retreat, Spa & Yoga is located on Kvaløya island, 50-minutes drive from central Tromsø. Free WiFi access is available at the farm. The night in the small wagon was very nice and the "fireplace" has a certain charm. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The small farm with several animals and the possibility to go to the jacuzzi and or sauna is great. You can book rental equipment for a snowshoe hike directly on site. Parking is free of charge. Note that there is no supermarket or restaurant nearby. So you are tied to the accommodation's catering on site. This is very good, but the costs add up!

This was, by far, my favorite city in Norway. It was beautiful, peaceful, and serene. The weather was chilly but the locals were warm and welcoming. I loved exploring the island so surrounding Tromsø and walking/running through the city! Beautiful views at every turn. I will be back next year. 100%
love Tromsø. there during 24 hour sun will return for Northern Lights!!! friendly, interesting, historical town. Virtually everyone speaks English. My husband loved Norwegian soft ice cream. There are many places with ice cream. Bus service is easy to manage.
Tromso is a not to miss destination. It is a lovely town, totally walkable, and has all one needs. Go in the winter for dog sledding and Northern lights or in the summer for 24 hours of light.
Tromsø is amazing and if you are lucky to stay in the Scandic hotel you will have a beautiful view everyday. It really is a lovely, safe walkable city. The northern lights are majestic and the people are incredibly nice.
I visited Tromso in December its such a quiete city, few people are around even in the city center. The lights are amazing and also we did the snowmobile it was such a unique experience that i recommend to everyone. The fact of its dark all day long is just annoying and make your stay confused.
I loved Tromso! It is an incredibly beautiful area and the nature tours were unbelievable. I went dog sledding and whale watching and they were some of the greatest experiences of my life! I was fortunate enough to see the northern lights 2 out of the 3 nights I was there and the view from the cable car was breathtaking. For me it was just a bit too cold to stay longer. Great place to visit!
Tromso is a beautiful place and and excellent base to see the northern lights. Very pricey to eat out - but this is what is expected. Lots of tour places to book a trip. Dog sledding and meeting the huskies and skimobiles is a must to be on your list of to do. The cable car views are amazing. Aurora cruise 4 hr trip is okayish but not a recommendation to see the NL as the boat doesn't sail out further enough. Unless the NL are very bright. Visit the polar museum is a must and great value for money. Recommendation - for the NL. Explorethearctic tour. They certainly chased the lights and great value for money. As our expenditure was spent on tours every day - we saved money buying food from supermarkets and eating in our hotel. The smart hotel gave use flexibility to use the restaurant.
Spectacular place to see the Northern Lights, nice little city to walk through. The bridge over to the Cathedral is a nice walk. Views in Tromso are very nice. We were treated to the Northern lights off and on all night right from out hotel window. Emma's was booked, so sadly didn't get to try their food, make a reservation there if you want to eat there. Stayed at Scandic Ivashotle, loved the views and location. Did a husky sleigh ride at night and was a lot of fun.
The northern lights did not appear during our time in Tromso. Had absolutely the best time on our dog sled ride. Scenery was fantastic. The dog sled ride was worth the trip to Tromso.
The Cathedral is incredible. Don´t forget to look at the Roof with the organ. For Photoshooters: By chance took a photo at night from the opposite habor area of Tromsoe (35mm) - self timer camera on ship pole of Hurtigurten ship -little detail aside. It was a clear wheather and night, aand you can create such an awesome colorfull Image with water reflections. Very nice. BR Thomas
Location was great in the center of Tromso. Staff were exceptional from reception being very friendly and helpful, The breakfast lady was great and always had a smile on her face and housekeeping were also friendly and helpful. Loved the night time waffles, the breakfast was great and cake and tea and coffee facilities were available 24/7. Beds were comfy and the shower was hot, with good pressure and heated floors. The view from the room was straight across the water to the cable car. Hotel located directly opposite the bus stop.
We loved staying at Marthas Apartments. The view was amazing! We even saw the Northern Lights from our living room window on the last night of our stay! The rooms were spacious and the furnishings, including the bed, were very comfortable! Best of all was the host family. Daughter Christine gave us a fine introduction to the area, with day trip suggestions. Host Are was especially helpful in getting us to our Northern Lights adventure on the night of a huge concert in Tromso! Martha provided a spacious living space! Fabulous.
WOW, It's a real gem in Tromso. The apartment 's very fantastic and fully-equipped with everything, more than you expected. The host was very nice, helpful,and thoughtful. We could see the northern lights right here from the windows even KP rate was just 3!! No need to hunt😁,exactly as advertised😁. At first,I was selecting between this apt. and another fully-equipped apt. which was like a 3 times cheaper. Finally, I chose this one because its ads about northern lights and not disappointing at all. Highly recommend.

Stunning view from the apartment, always changing. Apartment was easy to access and Kevin the host was very welcoming and available throughout our stay. Apartment had a well planned layout and was very quiet at night. Everything we needed was provided. We enjoyed the walk into central Tromso, just under 30mins but buses were also readily available. The shower was hot and powerful after a day in the snow. We needed the heater provided in the downstairs bedroom, the rest of the apartment was warm and cosy.

The property was in a superb location…10 minute taxi ride from the airport and 10 minute bus ride from Tromso Harbor. The bus stop of Somerenvegen was a 2 minute walk from the house. We were able to take bus 40 everyday and the Wi-To stop was perfect for dropping us right in the middle of downtown. The view from every window in the apartment was stunning. It was nice to be able to fix food every morning which helped cut some of the costs of eating out. Having a washer/dryer was nice as well.
Fantastic breakfast buffet every morning - tons of options for everyone and considering the food in Norway is so expensive, it probably saved us money! Location is great, lots of excursions meet at this hotel or opposite, and it was a great central point to explore Tromso. It only took us about 15-20 mins by taxi to get there from the airport, and there's a regular airport bus too.
This hotel was very nice! Small but cozy room, great location. Probably the cheapest stay we could find in Tromso but we were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back! They also allowed us to check-in early for a small fee and to leave our baggage there after check-out (for free) :) We also bought a reeindeer and sami culture tour at the hotel and it was great

This is an exceptional property. It exceeded our expectations in every way! The hosts are fantastic! They went out of their way to help and make sure our stay was the best. The location was awesome. The apartment was modern yet comfortable. There isn’t enough room to say how great this was. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy Tromsø, do yourself a favor and book here!
Small rooms but hey, who is spending much time in the hotel room when you are visiting Tromso? This hotel is super close to the airport which was convenient for me because I was flying to Svalbard the next day. The hotel also has a cool bar area with an awesome view that serves alcohol till about 2:30. Which is great if you are adjusting to time zones and can’t sleep.
Apartment looks exactly like the photos. A lovely apartment. Loads of lively little touches like small snacks, condiments, bathing stuff, laundry, cleaning detergent etc. A massive TV! We met the owners when we arrived and they were very friendly. Rooms were lovely and warm if you use the heaters provided. Would definitely stay again if we were in Tromsø.

can’t rate Amalia; they had some issue with our room and gave us a free upgrade to St Elisabeth Appmt 10 min uphill. free taxi, larger apartment and fabulous views over Tromsø, a spacious flat with all amenities :). We can recommend the top floor in-house restaurant for its great food, stunning views and 20% discount for residents.

After collecting the keys from a nearby lock box, we easily checked ourselves in to this newly built apartment. The space had high ceilings and high end finishings and included all the essentials such as linen and kitchen items. There was a spectacular view of the harbor and the water overlooking Tromso. Very comfortable stay!
quiet area on the hill with a superb view of Tromso. Apartment is clean. Amenities was beyond what we were expecting! nice touch with the bowl of chocolates and candies! pleasant neighborhood- easy to walk to town (wear crampons when icy), bus service 1 block away, taxi service easy to get both ways. internet was super fast.

Perfect and comfortable apartment - very well equiped with free parking and nice view. Perfect location if you like to stay outside of the city. Apartment is really 15 min from Tromso by car. Bed was very comfortable, apartment very clean and modern. Wifi was fast and worked well. Very friendly hosts.
The 'family room' we paid for was indeed good for a family, and the breakfast was a big hit with everyone. Plus, Tromso is small, so the hotel is plenty close to anything you want to do. Bonus: Hotel is right next door to Skarven, a great set of restaurants to try the local cuisine.
The apartment is amazing - has everything possible you might need. Great location (in front of a supermarket), parking slot (not easy to find in Tromsø), very helpful and kind host. Will definitely come back to this apartment on a next visit to the beautiful Tromsø.
