I’ve stayed here several times, and as always, everything was perfect. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast couldn’t be better, and the staff is extremely friendly. This time, I mistakenly booked a room with two double beds. Even though Booking.com said changes weren’t possible, the hotel had no problem switching me to a room with a large bed. Simply the best hotel in the area! Zierikzee is one of my favorite towns – a beautiful village by the sea.

The 2 ladies working there when we stayed at the hotel are very friendly and helpful.

I knew immediately the ApartHotel Waepen van Middelburg was going to be the perfect location for our visit - my 8th time to Middelburg, but have previously been staying with family. Travelling by train, this accommodation is walking distance from the station, but actually it is walking distance to everything in this beautiful city! And this is just what we did, four days long! Our apartment was super clean and spacious, beautiful yet trendy interior (just like on the pictures!) lacking nothing! We felt and slept like a king & queen! Keep up the good work, Rene & Jacqueline and team, we hope to be back some day!

Middelburg is a pleasant town, and we prefer it to Vlissingen, which can be a bit drab outside of the summer months. Middelburg had a pleasant square and the town hall building is beautiful. You can climb the church tower if you want to see the views over Zeeland. Lots of places to eat - Jazz-Eetcafe Desafinado and De Mug being particular favourites. Lots of cafes/restaurants surround the square, but you can easily find a gem down one of the smaller streets. Take a walk around the outskirts of Middelburg, following the canal, as this is very pleasant

We are not really beach people, but Zoutelande still has this cosy little village atmosphere and at the same time provides enough good quality service to guests. It is also a good location to explore other parts of Zeeland.

Middleburg is a super place for a relaxing break. Plenty of cafes and restaurants and good shops but the coast is also nearby making this a perfect break. I normally go straight to Amsterdam but the Netherlands has much more to offer with pretty towns such as Middleburg and interesting villages to explore. As cycling is the norm there's less exhaust fumes and quieter roads. The landscape is flat but it's not boring with high dunes, plenty of beaches with miles of white sands, coastal paths, dykes and one can purchase wonderful bread for all the picnics. We ate in Amy and Ta a Vietnamese restaurant in Middleburg as they were able and happy to provide freshly cooked Vegan food. They asked us what we would like and cooked it without fuss. It was delicious and the portions are large. This place is just off the square and we can recommend. The Zeeuws Museum has a stylish cafe and they offer fantastic coffee and vegetarian apple cake amongst other light lunches and teas. The museum isn't huge but it's worth a visit ( the natural history exhibition was excellent) although the third floor was closed for renovation. That floor houses the history museum; I was most interested to visit this and understand more about the history of this Zeeland Area. But, next time I hope it will be open. As a result of the disappointment the curator gave us free coffee and free postcards which was very kind. Just like all the Dutch people we met in fact !

Middelburg is a small Dutch city in the province of Zeeland, not overrun by tourists. A day in this city is more than enough, although it's a good place from where to explore the rest of the island / province. It has gorgeous canals, squares, buildings, like the impressive city hall. Don't forget to try a 'Zeeuwse bolus' at Bliek bakery, a local treat!

Lovely little Zeeland city with lots to see: the yacht harbor, the pilot harbor, great walks through the waterfront, lots of historic buildings, and a great city square with terraces and restaurants. There is a lovely beach that it's visitors do not keep clean. For magnificent beaches travel a little ways outside of Vlissingen.

Middelburg is the perfect town to stay when exploring Zeeland. It has a wonderful feel, easy to walk the quaint streets and tons of great shops too! There are restaurants galore, be sure to try De Tap! You can hop in your car for lots of side trips in the area. Go to Veere! Enjoy spotting windmills and sheep. Stop in at a local fish shop for the freshest seafood.

They were very clean and well-maintained, The rooms also have nice balconies and airco. You can have your breakfast outside with a nice view. We liked the hotel very much. Everyone was so nice and willing to help with any question or problem. The building and the entire facility is disabled friendly. We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Zeeland/Vrouwenpolder Beach.

Netherlands at it's best! Awesome choice for breakfast at Hotel de Timmerfabriek. Nothing you could miss. Comfy beds in the room. A light smell of wood from the cabins in the reception and lovely decoration. We really enjoyed our stay! Vlissingen has a nice old town, beach and opportunities to enjoy the shopping. From here you must visit Middelburg, Goes and as well beach front cities! Our first trip to Zeeland and we are sure it won't be our last :-)

However we were very pleasantly surprised by the spacious hotel suite facilities which were very well equipped with kitchen, etc. We even made good use of the washing machine in the lobby area. The rooms are in a separate building from the restaurants, but easy walking access. The food looked so good we stayed for dinner, and we were happy we did.
