The pool area, the restaurant, the staff, the villas - everything was unforgettable. We took bikes and went to the Taak Bi Ha cenote and it was amazing. The perfect stay would be 2-3 nights there, too bad we had only one. Hope to come back one day.

We booked two nights in Peurto Morelos on our tour of Mexico and Belize, but could have managed with one night as we did not find places of interest close by. The resort has a more relaxed feel than other 'Riviera Maya' locations. The town is split in two - one part by the sea and the other by the main road. I guess the main road part is the real modern Mexico.
Akumal is a small town in the Riviera Maya, between Tulum and Cancún. We loved the fact that it is not as crowded as other beaches. Restaurants that I recommend, Lol Ha which is in Akumal Beach (excellent food). If you go to downtown Tulum, " La hoja verde" is a very good vegetarian restaurant, and prices are very reasonable. After that you can walk North through the street little stores, and you will find a gelato Store, which is great. If you go to beaches in Tulum, go to "Zamas" restaurant where food was very good.
If you are looking to relax and enjoy your time in Riviera Maya away from the mega hotel buzz, then this is your place.

I was looking for to visit and sightseeing the Riviera Maya, I googled about the best sandy beaches. Xpu Ha is among the five best place en the Riviera. I confirm that the place is amazing, you could walk and enjoy the place.
Puerto Morelos
Without any doubt the best stay and experience we had after traveling for one month in Mexico. If you dream about paradise, this is the place! So carefully taken care of with all the beautiful details, the attention of Rosario, Darío, Pablo and Luz Angélica, the temazcal ceremony, the comfortable tent (kuuchil), great dinner. And this alll surrounded by the amazing sounds of nature. A peaceful place at 20 min from the craziness of the Riviera Maya 👌!
Loved the peace and quiet of this location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Treat yourself to a meal at Playa Jaguar it is world class and worth every penny. You get to walk back to the hotel on the beach. It makes for a charming, secluded experience. You can imagine simpler times not so long ago before mega-resorts and tourist destinations dominated the Riviera Maya.
I've stayed at all five of the hotels in this Barcelo resort. I wanted to try the Riviera Maya even though it was more expensive and not positioned on my favorite beach. Overall, the hotel is very pretty, clean, and new. The pool area is nice and the beach was clean. The housekeeping staff and waiters were nice. There were a couple gluten free options at the buffet which was great!
Puerto Aventuras
The view is great, ocean view; however, there is no beach access from the property...all the beaches around are private property or hotels' property...the closest public beach with white sand is a 20 min walk by the Marina, so if you want to enjoy the classic Riviera Maya white sand beaches - you need to walk or drive to Marina.
Everything was great! Good food. Helpful staff. Clean and spacious rooms. The hotel is connected to the other 3 Bahia Principe hotels (Akumal, Tulum, Sian Kaan) forming a whole city of its own. Also, the hotel is within 1 hour of the most attractions in Riviera Maya and only 2 hours from Chichen Itza.
We stayed here during our honeymoon after getting married in the Riviera Maya nearby. It was a lovely hotel and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel itself is stunning, and the rooftop bar and pool has a great view out to the city.
well-organized hostel in a peaciful small city of Riviera Maya not overwhelmed by mass tourism. Excellent base for quality diving and snorkeling . Beds are confortable, breakfast is excellent, staff is helpful.
We only stayed here for two nights and the hotel has beautiful design and the rooms are super comfortable. Puerto Morelos is a really cool town and was a highlight of our Riviera Maya trip.

I love PPP for its concept and originality. Cabins, casitas, villas are built inside the jungle. Staying at one of them is one-of-the-kind experience. WiFi is surprisingly available all over the property, even at the beach front. I enjoyed many activities including hiking the walking path from one end to the other, and daily yoga, which is located right at the ocean front. My favorite PPP moment was eating breakfast in the early morning while watching the soft sunrise lights up the beach club area. The picture from this scenery is lovely.
Ahau is located on the beachfront within walking distance from various restaurants, bars, beach clubs and stores - the beach is pristine with soft white sand and clear blue ocean! The rooms are clean with comfy beds, the restaurant makes the most amazing food, mezcalitas and the staff are helpful and friendly. Looking forward to staying at Ahau again on my next visit to Tulum!🙌🏼

The most beautiful place, with your own private beach and a very friendly and accommodating staff. Felt like paradise. Also the most amazing sunrises in this place and located in the natural reserve, next to Ikal and the ruins. Absolutely recommend. 10/10
the hotel is amazing! the style is so precious and the views are breathtaking. we took a suite at the adults only building, we had an access to the rooftop and to restaurant Fuego. it was amazing! the hotel is so clean, and the pools as well. we had a personal butlers called Magaly and and Kiyoshi who had helped us so much and made our stay easier, she was available 24/7 answering all our questions and making reservations for us. the parks were truely gorgeous and we had once in a life experiment, especially Xsenses.
