This hotel is perfectly situated for access to the old town of Riga. We picked this hotel as we were on a road-trip through the Baltics and it offered free parking. On arrival we were given a much appreciated complimentary upgrade to a larger room. The room was a good size and had a nice view. It was only a short walk across the bridge to the old town. The breakfast selection was really good. We wished that we had more time and extra days to stay here. We would not hesitate to stay here again if / when we return.

I liked the fact that the hotel is well located between the old town, national opera, freedom monument and the train station. Bus 22 (from Riga airport to Riga city center) stops near the hotel, so no need to take a taxi to reach the hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good and the highlight of the breakfast is the coffee. Staying at the Avalon Hotel means that all the tourist attractions (Central Market, Old Town, House of the black heads, National Opera, Freedom Monument) are on walking distance

Nicely situated at the heart of Riga Old Town. Many cafes and restaurants on the same and nearby roads. Places for breakfast, food and night drinks are literally just across the street. You can get there by car only to unload the luggage but better get to St. Peter Cathedral and then carry them for 2 minutes. There is an elevator. We got a room on the fifth floor, it was luminous, but with the window shades you could make it dark if you like ( at June the Sunrise is at 04.30 in Riga ), Our apartment was clean and spacious.

The hotel was in a great location, and that made it easy to walk everywhere. I felt safe as a solo traveler and welcomed by the hotel. There's a real family feeling here with the staff.And they are so friendly and helpful.They get ten stars from me. The room was big, the bed was huge, and the television was massive. It was comfortable clean and everything I needed. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anybody who's going to Riga.

Hotel is close to the Old Town centre of Riga which meant everything we needed to see was close by. The room was beautifully equipped with Air Con, safe, fridge, lovely ensuite etc - all you would want in a hotel. The beds were comfy and the breakfast outstanding - so much choice! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't use the sauna or other hotel facilities but everything looked great. No faults at all.

Huge space in very central location. Grand bedroom with super comfy king bed and classy furnishings. Comfortable sofa bed also. Spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchen with separate dining area. Communication with Irina was excellent. We didn’t view the flat screen TV in the lounge - you won’t need a TV in Riga ! Loved the antique wooden stairs up to first floor apartment. Would book again for staying in Riga 👍👍

The location is excellent, in my opinion there are no residential buildings more close the sightseeings)))) 3-4 minutes and you are already at Riga Town Hall Square. The apartment has all the amenities. You enter in and feel like you're at home. Key pick up, check in and check out is very convenient and quick if you follow the steps provided by the host in advance.

Hotel located in greate location to explore Riga city. Public transport connection across the street from the hotel. You can reach old city center within walking distance (~15-20 min). Breakfast with wide food sortiment. Green area (beautiful park across the street). Did not experience any problems with disturbing noice level - it was silent during day and night.

The hotel is easy to find (mind you, I know Riga quite well), it's a walking distance from bus and railway station, and also the bus stop to the airport is not that far. The room was big enough and had everything I needed. The breakfast was good, offered a great choice of food, nice and clean eating area. Checking in was easy and quick

The location of this hotel is great, close to City Centre, buses and trains. We arrived earlier than standard check-in hours and could leave our luggage in the storage. Also, Inga from the reception desk helped to arrange the room earlier than 3pm. She was very helpful and kind. I recommend Wellton Riga Hotel & SPA to everyone.

If you want to live in the old town of Riga, not too far away for the train station it's perfect. 10 min walk and you're there. The location is full of local pubs and activities. Also it's near main sight seeing sites. The apartment itself is perfect - very spacious and cozy at the same time. Has everything you need.

The apartment was extremely spacious and very well stocked. It had everything I could have wanted during my 4 night stay in Riga e.g. bowls, cutlery, coffee, tea, salt, washing machine tablet, shower gel etc. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom and even more in the closet! The shower was easy to use and lots of hot water.

From arrival to the end, it was marvellous. We spent six nights here and could not fault the Hotel. The staff are lovely, room was quiet and comfortable, breakfast was extensive. Nicely furnished building. Excellent value. Well located for our favourite market, the old town and Central Riga. So a big thank you to the Metropole.

Nice view from my windows. Really happy about the location because near this hotel fun happens (Old Riga). Good staff. Liked the girl when checked in and out. Bed was comfortable and I was sleeping very well even when people were partying near the hotel. Good breakfast, with variety of food. Very good place for this price.

The building and room both were very private, clean and functional. Location is about 6-7 km from city center, it is not easy to get to the center with Riga's heavy traffic. Price/value balance of the hostel was very good. My room was little small, especially shower corner but for that good price it's not big deal.

The apartment has a great location - it takes only few minutes to reach the public transport stop or you can have a longer walk and reach the main locations in the center of Riga by foot. In the apartment everything was really clean and comfortable for 4 people. Although we did not use the sauna, it was a nice addition.

Common areas were beautiful and staff were nice. Also kids got their own package (with free welcome drinks and with stickers etc things to do), very nice surprise! The bed was ok and very big and room overall quiet. Hotel is located beautifully next to the river with the views to Riga old town.

The location is perfect for exploring the city of Riga. The bus and tram stop is very close and there is a nice shop nearby. As other reviewers have said, the front of the building is from the 1960s, but inside the apartment is very modern and cozy. I would definitely recommend it.

Awesome location in Riga! Very friendly atmosphere in the hostel, all the guests were nice, and also the staff. Staff at the reception was super welcoming and gave me also tips on what not to miss in Riga, so great! Breakfast was quite good, but not excellent.

The hotel is located at a great location regardless of whether you are visiting Riga or just staying overnight and need to get to the airport in the morning. An added bonus was that you could park on the street and that didn't cost anything extra.
