The owner was the loveliest person! She made very delicious breakfast and was always there for us. Also her son was so nice and took us to the turtle rescue. He waited for us for as long as we wanted to stay and gave us information about the turtles. We really liked this family and we hope we can come back someday.

I was looking for a little bit of luxury for a couple night during my 3 month travel of Sri Lanka and this place was it! So happy I booked here. The room was stunning spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a real treat with a huge shower and hot water and so clean! Complimentary robes and slippers, a safe and fridge in the room, luxurious pillows and furnishings made you feel like you were staying in a 5* resort. The view from the room over the lagoon was so serene and idyllic. The pool was gorgeous to sit by during the day. The staff were incredible, so friendly and caring, from welcome drinks and conversation to being brought a coconut by the pool whilst relaxing. Room service is available with a nice selection of wines of offer. The food was lovely in their restaurant and again tip top customer service and all with a smile. You can tell the people that run this have a real passion for it and they do a brilliant job! When I come back to Sri Lanka I will 100% stay here again! Thank you again to the hosts!

Set in Netolpitiya, a few steps from Wella Odaya Beach, Blue Ocean Resort offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Who is looking for really peacefull and quiet place, go to Blue Ocean. Super nice and perfectly english speaking owner. Home made meals and private beach with nobody around at this time. The ocean is little but more rought, but sand everywhere and perfect access. Rooms are super clean and new. So far the most relaxing staying in Sri Lanka. Thank you very much for this experience.

Set in Tissamaharama, 9 km from Tissa Wewa, Saffron Lake Yala offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. We stayed as a couple at Saffron Lake Yala for 3 nights. The facilities were excellent - we stayed in one of the villas and it was spotlessly clean, with great finishings/facilities - spacious, comfortable bed, fan and A/C, hot water (not warm, hot!) and good pressure. There is no dining room area as such, food is served to you on the terrace of your villa or room. Staff, in particular the manager Roshan, were very friendly and helpful - arranging tuk tuks, travel advice, preparing food, hot drinks, etc. We also arranged our full-day safari to Yala National Park through the hotel (with a driver/guide called Ruwan @ Wild Angle Sri Lanka) - which was fantastic and again competitively priced. Location of the hotel was beautiful and peaceful, right on the lakeside, which you can wander along to birdwatch/see the sunset. Is not centrally located - is a long walk or 20min tuk tuk (1000LKR) from the centre of Tissa, but safari and taxi can pick up/drop off directly at the hotel.

The property was an excellent getaway into the wilds. We wanted to do two national parks and the wild culture was an amazing place to stay and the provided the booking for both yala and udawalawe national parks. Was so nice of them to prep ice box and some snacks for the national parks. The service there is high standards. Also expect good signal there. Upul we called him (Mr. Tuna) was the best service guy at the stay, funny and gave us good advices and so friendly. The breakfast was supper even the dinner try the beef kuttu.

No words to describe this place! Brand new rooms with everything new in it (done by loving hands). Good AC. Nice smell. The house is standing across the lake and has a nice garden where you can have a “safari” experience for free. You’re surrounded by nature. This family owned place is full of love and care. There is no room here to list all the wonderful things we received at this place! It captured our hearts! Excellent communication. The owner arranged the best safari driver and very good transfer to our next destination. Showed us area around, took care of every step of our time being there. We were treated with such genuine love and care that we wanted to cry! This house provides not just amazing place to sleep but a real resort, that treats you as a king. I honestly doubt there is anything else like this in Sri Lanka. I wish we could spend more time there. Don’t hesitate to book if you wish to be in good trustworthy hands.

Located in Tissamaharama, 3 km from Tissa Wewa, Double Lake View Tissa & Safari provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. We loved this place! Wonderful homestay overlooking the lake. The owner has created a very comfortable room- lovely 4 poster bed with comfy mattresses and pillows, a huge dressing mirror, hairdryer, desk and chair and a stand to hang clothes, AC and TV. The rooms share a wrap around balcony and a nice terrace to have your meals. Gemunu and his wife made us a lovely dinner - hoppers and fish curry was delicious. The buffalo yoghurt with treacle is a must. We booked a half day safari through them. Chamara was a good guide and we even managed to see a leopard. Though we stayed only a night we loved it and hope to stay here again. Gemunu was really helpful in getting our laundry done for us - washed and folded. It was really appreciated. A fantastic base for your safari.
