Excellent location with almost equidistance walk to the main Kyoto or Kujo Station so you have the option to take train or buses, depending on where you are going. Hotel is very clean with Onsen provided which is a great feature for those who enjoys Onsen. Plentiful amenities provided too, if you forget to bring your own stuff. I would highly recommend this any time! We had a pleasant surprised when hotel upgraded us to a bigger room but we did not try to breakfast which was not included so we can't comment. (Thank you!)

Fantastic location Less than 5 mins from the popular Yasaka Pagoda (which is great if you’re wanting to wake up at 6am for quiet street shots) The house is a beautiful taste of Japanese living, the rooms, bathroom, living room, the little garden, felt very zen Bags were delivered to house and picked up from house (after you checked in at their office which is right by Kyoto train station) Your key is a digital key/ lock so you can go straight to the house at 3pm check in

This was our most spacious hotel during our trip across Japan! It was clean and comfortable, the front desk staff was very accommodating, and they have coin operated laundry which we utilized during our stay. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from Kyoto Station, and is a short walk to a train station and a bus stop that took us to some major attractions. The breakfast was also worth it-- they have a Western style breakfast buffet as well as a traditional Japanese noodle soup station.

We enjoyed being able to take transit everywhere. Just a short bus ride away from Kyoto station, Nijo castle, etc. There’s coffee and water available in the main lobby upon arrival. Room was spacious for Japan. Breakfast being included was a bonus serving a variety of food. There’s a really good Ramen place just a 250-400 m walk away. Great food, friendly people. Having coin operated laundry was also a bonus for our family of 4. Staff was very helpful!

This was a clean, modern hotel in an ideal location (for us) in Kyoto. The room was exceptionally comfortable and well-appointed, and the hotel was walking distance to metro and train stations and bus stops, Gion, and downtown Kyoto restaurants and shopping. One of the top two hotels we stayed at in Japan, and probably the best value for money. The free evening reception (wine/beer and snacks) was a nice element as well. Staff was very helpful.

A guest house with all the necessary Japanese comfort in a residential area close to two major temples: Kinkaku-ji and Ryoan-ji. Also nearby are numerous restaurants, a bakery, and the superb Funaoka onsen, all within walking distance. We greatly appreciated the bicycles provided for getting around Kyoto (for example, to reach Arashiyama bamboo forest or the moss temple Saiho-ji). The host was always very responsive in answering our questions.

We loved our stay at the Royal Park Hotel in Kyoto. The room was perfect, bathroom was modern too. They had a self service laundry facility, which is so useful for us as we were already a week into our Japan trip. When we arrived for check-in, the staff were so welcoming, informative and helpful. They took the time to explain the facilities available. This was such a refreshing experience after our last hotel in Japan, so we appreciated it.

Really close to the station and bus stop - a quick ride into the centre of Kyoto. It was the first place in Japan we stayed with an onsen and were initially nervous about using it - but it was such a lovely experience. We used it early in the morning and there were only one or two other people there. The kids loved the ice cream after the onsen too. The rooms were really comfortable. There was also a nice restaurant just around the corner.

Don’t be fooled by the 3 star grading. It’s far better than many four or even five stars that I have stayed in big cities in Japan. It’s spacious, tastefully designed, sparkling clean and quiet. Its staff is efficient and helpful. All these locate in a central place of main tourism attractions of Kyoto, many of them are with walking distance. No breakfast is provided, but, with the Familymart two minutes away you get everything you need.

Great hotel in Kyoto! 5min from the train station, 3 minutes from all buses and 7/11 right in our corner. This was our fav hotel in our Japan trip, very spacious compared to Tokyo, extremely clean, had all the amenities and the staff was great. They can help you with luggage forwarding service. The room has a key code so you don’t need a key, amazing place, can’t recommend it enough

Feels very authentic. the property is very clean and well-maintained with love. Easily reachable and with good connections per bus or train. In the heart of Kyoto. the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful and they guide you through your experience of a more traditional Japanese stay. As a tourist it was important for us: English can easily be used to communicate

Hotel is a 3 minute walk from Kyoto Station. So it was easy to take a bus or train to anywhere. My mom and aunts loved that there are 2 malls nearby (Avanti and Aeon). Rooms were cleaned daily. and we were able to request extra pillows. There's a 7-eleven in the building so we never got hungry. Airport limo bus stops in front of Avanti so it was really convenient.

Shin is an exceptional kind, generous and professional host, he went beyond to make me feel comfortable, I’ve never experienced such an hospitality in any Hostel. The facility is a little gem in Kyoto and I feel so lucky that I found it. Bus and JR line are just around the corner. If I ever come back to Kyoto, I will definitely come back, thank you Shin!!!

Our Family room had two separate areas which was a nice surprise, a bed area and a living area. The pool was warm and quiet, and the restaurant at the top revolved! Giving an amazing view of Kyoto as we had breakfast. There is a shuttle bus to the train station, although it's not far to walk (10 mins). This Hotel has everything you could wish for.

This hotel is located inside Kyoto station, hence the word KINTETSU. We made the mistake of walking towards another MIYAKO Hotel which is across the street from the Station. Regardless, our room faces the Shinkansen tracks at the very end and was really awesome seeing the Shinkansen pulling in and out without any noises. Highly recommend this hotel.

Travel very light and enjoy the countless world class phenomenal sights; walkability to several and bus connections. Be fit and travel superlight. Kyoto is huge, truly huge, so the location is even handier than i realized. Would have liked to pop into the local sento bath! No time! Kyoto deserves a week! (Lived in Japan 3yrs)

In the best area of Kyoto, the hotel is very new and it is the only Hotel in Japan I have been to with such a good quality/price ratio. The services were impeccable and the rooms were very big, I wish all of Japan could offer such a service. I'll go back as soon as I set my foot back in Kyoto.

Hotel has a great location right in front of the train station with several restaraunts in the same building and around it. Hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. Public bath was a plus. Great value for the money considering how busy Kyoto is for tourists; would definitely stay here again.

Thank you so much for the nice stay. The room was very spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. All the space was clean and furnished really well. Hotel is near train station and bus stop. We can honestly recommend Minn Gion and I’m sure we will reserve room the next time in Kyoto.

I enjoyed my stay in Hennan Hotel in Kyoto !! It was super clean and it has a super nice convenient location to the JR Kyoto station. You can also walk to Gion district in 30 minutes. I will definitely come back to Kyoto and to this hotel. Additionally the breakfast was amazing!!!
