The inn was an old traditional Japanese building. It was a unique space and a good experience. Some rooms have tatami mats. It was interesting to see large boats coming and going on the sea in front of us. Near the inn, there is a walking trail and an old town. It is a maze of narrow streets where people still live and greet the elderly people they meet. When you reach the top of the hill, you can see a wide view and even the city of Hiroshima. Nearby is an old sake brewery where we were able to sample various flavors of sake.

Hostel is very clean. The showers are really nice. I had one of those kind of half-rooms divided by curtain from the other beds. It's better than bunk bed in a dorm because you get some kind of privacy. The common area was very big, clean and nice. There is a table tennis, darts, books and other things that you can use. If you go to Mijayima (Itsukushima) island, location is perfect. If you want to go to Hiroshima, it takes around 1 hour by tram and a bit less by train. The staff was really nice and helpful.

Only 5 mins walk from Hiroshima station. The hotel is beautiful and rooms are very spacious. My room had toilet and bath separate (Japanese style) so I enjoyed soaking in the tub every night. Hotel has good amenities (free coffee, tea, hot water heater, toothbrush, etc.) Hotel has 7-Eleven on the first floor, Lawson across the street, with few restaurants in the same building. Hiroshima station has also many restaurants and cafes. The hotel is in the North side of the Hiroshima station which is the quiet side.

Location is brilliant for the Hiroshima train and bus station, which are both around the corner from the hotel, 5 mins away. The onsen was fabulous! Staff were lovely and could speak a little English or would use their 'pocket talk' machines to help converse! Luggage receiving/forwarding worked a treat again. The breakfast in the Komeda coffee shop attached to the hotel was sufficient to start the day. Room was compact, as per alot of the Japanese hotels, but had everything you needed.

What went well with the stay at this hotel? Well, pretty much everything, from its location to the staff at reception, to the cleanliness and planning of the room, and last but not the least to the breakfast buffet, which had an infusion of freshly prepared Japanese and Western style food. Every single one of the staff members we encountered at Hotel Washington Hiroshima was exceptionally courteous and helpful, typical of the Japanese standard (still, acknowledgement has to be given!)

Best location, near all the sights in a wonderful, thriving neighborhood Fantastic amenities nearby, big shopping center with fab food Great view of Hiroshima Castle from the room Wonderful breakfast buffet, best we had in Japan. Best shopping so far in Japan, less touristy and better quality stuff. Nicest toiletries with a cleansing oil that turns milky when you add water. First time I've ever been offered that at a hotel. Quiet so we slept soundly. Great value.

Lots of space - finally a place in Japan where I could comfortably open my suitcases and still have space to move around, or just enjoy a beer on the couch. The apartment was equipped with everything I could ever need including the washing machine. The place was clean, japanese beds were really comfy. Location was good - a great shopping mall just next to the apartment, 10min walk to a tram, 20min walk to Hiroshima Station.

LOCATION AND MY OVER-ALL STAY! APA Hotel never fails to meet my expectations. Been staying at APA Hotels whether I'm in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka and Nagoya during my trips and one thing that makes me go back and book their hotels is the location. Their Hiroshima hotel is just beside the JR Hiroshima station which is a plus for me since I'm traveling with family (senior parents and 2 toddlers below 4 years old).

Everything went smoothly in my stay at Capsule Hotel Cube Hiroshima. I was greeted by a very warm lady (I forgot to ask her name!) as soon as I stepped in the reception at the 4th floor. She took my luggage for safekeeping then walked me through the buses and times for my tours. The ladies dorm was superb! Bed was comfy, showers and toilets were squeaky clean. I stayed here for 2 nights.

This property is a quaint old fashioned guest house with the most amazing owner and staff. Without a doubt their restaurant served the best food we have had in Japan so far. The island itself is an unexpected amazing place to visit and an easy trip from Hiroshima if you are an oyster lover it’s the place for you. This guest house is within easy access to ferry terminals and very central.

- Very good breakfast, as Japanese as it can get. - Owners were nice enough, keep in mind it is a traditional Japanese-styled inn so some rules need to be followed. - Very close to Hiroshima JR Station. - Good value for money, nice green tea and candy when you first arrive at the room. - Wi-Fi was on 24/7 when I was there, but I had to ask the owners for the password first.

The host was very attentive to our needs. This was the closest we've experienced to a traditional Japanese home. We loved the tatami mats and authentic ofuro (wooden deep bathtub). The property was within walking distance to Hiroshima station, but there are not many restaurants nearby. The host runs a yummy crepe place on the property, so dessert is guaranteed!

Gorgeous industrial style apartment, fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is plenty of space in the living area with big, comfortable couches. The beds were very comfortable too. The location is perfect for exploring Hiroshima by foot, which unlike other cities in Japan, is much easier than public transport. Highly recommend.

Very professional staff. Location right next to Hiroshima Station was extremely good. Only had to walk about 150 metres to hotel. Breakfast choices were extensive. Both western and Japanese food including smoked salmon. Egg station for freshly cooked eggs of your choice. King bed and pillows were amazing. Slept very well in a very comfortable bed.

A great hostel maintaining a traditional Japanese feel. The owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming. Complimentary welcome drink and bar area were a great place to meet others and socialise. Location is good with a station nearby and walkable distance to main sites of Hiroshima. Great restaurant recommendations too. Definitely recommend

A great place to stay in Hiroshima! It was really easy to find and the host gave us lots of information before check in to make sure everything went smoothly. Everything was pristine, super clean and comfortable! One of the comfiest beds we've had in Japan! Huge bathroom with a sizable bathtub. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Good location, near to common tourist attractions like the atomic bomb dome (walkable distance). Easy transport to Hiroshima station. There is free breakfast available, and especially love the eggs and fresh smoothies. Many food options all around. Hotel rooms were clean, but old and had a slight musty smell. Staff were friendly :)

Comfortable decent sized twin room. Hotel about 10 minutes walk from main railway station next to the main river and also easy walking distance from Hiroshima Memorial Park (close to trams if you wanted), other attractions, shops, bars and restaurants. Good buffet breakfast available for reasonable charge.

Location is amazing. Reception, chill area and rooftop bar were all outstanding. We had an amazing sunset - perfect location to enjoy the sights of Hiroshima. Restaurant on the ground level was great, we had a great meal with good service and they had a Gluten Free menu which is unheard of in Japan

Smile Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Peace Memorial Park. We travelled to Hiroshima by train and easily got to the hotel by bus from Hiroshima Station. Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends travelling to Hiroshima.
