Definitely the best accomodation we had in Iceland. The cottage we stayed was spacious and very lovely with all necessary equipment. the parking in front of it was a bonus.The breakfast was fresh and very delicious. the staff was extremely helpful. Check in and check out very effective.

Situated next to Iceland’s Ring Road, this family-run farm hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with a TV and a private bathroom. The Hoffell Hot Springs are 25 km away. We stayed for one night and everything went perfect. Big rooms, comfy beds, clean baths & yummy breakfast. That night was alarmed strong winds but we felt very safe inside the Hotel. Unfortunately the storm broke one of our car’s window and the hostesses were so helpful and nice. They fixed it.

The amazing location of Hotel Skaftafell provides guests with stunning views of Iceland's highest mountain, Hvannadalshnjukur and the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajökull. Breakfast was nice. Also English breakfast. The room was clean, nice place to stay. And the best is glacier 15 min walk right behind the hotel. No problem with parking. Cattle and tea, coffee in the room DIY.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Nice location with a short drive to Hofn and staff were happy to allow us to check in earlier than specified. Breakfast options were good with most of the continental options out. Very nicely sized rooms and bathrooms with coffee/ tea options and comfy beds!

Overlooking Djupivogur Harbour, Hotel Framtid is 8 km from Búlandstindur Mountain. It offers local seafood specialities, a bar and free private parking. A good locality in the centre of the city, close to local attractions. Clean room with comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Nice personnel. We received the info what to do in the city and its surroundings.

We got to see our first show of northern lights here!!! You need not go anywhere to see them. You can enjoy it from the comfort of your room. The rooms and property are great- clean. Breakfast was great and with a view! The hotel is located at a distance of 10-12mins from Hofn town (by car). Great location for viewing auroras.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Skaftafell, it was well located for our road trip out to the Vatnajokull glacier. We found the staff helpful and the room clean and comfortable. The scenery around the hotel was very nice. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and thought the standard was very high. We also enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel.

Standard guesthouse close to Jokulsarlon and the Vatnajokull glacier. The owner stays in the house. We spent one night there, had a good time but nothing special. Decent value-for-money (most hotels in the area were either fully booked or crazy expensive when we were there). We liked the breakfast.
Nice hotel on the ring road, not too far from Svartifoss and the Vatnajokull glacier. Good facilities for the standards of rural Iceland.
Great location near harbor and restaurants
This was hands down our favourite guesthouse during our two weeks in Iceland! The room had a generous size with a desk, a sofa and two chairs additionally to our bed. Parking space was always available right in front of the guesthouse. Check-in was contactless (super easy!), so there wasn't much interaction with staff, but emails before our stay were answered quickly and the person we saw briefly at the reception desk on our second day was very nice. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. There's a supermarket within easy walking distance of the guesthouse and a gas station right next to it. We had a great stay! :)

Great service and breakfast! The rooms were clean and very comfortable. But the best part is the location as it is located right next to a glacier that you can visit with a 4x4 vehicle.

Rooms were a bit smaller, but still nice and clean. When we got to the guesthouse, shared bathroom and kitchen were perfectly clean. The cleaniness of shared bathrooms depends on other guests who stay that night.
It was a pleasant surprise, a renovated hotel with an appropriate decor and motto. Despite the slight setback, we appreciate the availability in the face of what happened. An excellent breakfast with plenty of variety and quality.
