Breakfast and snacks were very good - quality food. We booked the Honey Suite - ground floor accessible room. The jacuzzi bath was lovely. The room was beautiful - enough furniture and very tasteful. Large TV, table and chairs for meals, sofa for lounging and a desk. Robes provided too, perfect for morning coffee on the balcony.

I recently stayed at Langdale Chase in Windermere and it was a wonderful experience. The location is perfect, right on the lake with breathtaking views, making it an ideal getaway. The setting and scenery are truly special. The food was very good and the atmosphere made every meal even more enjoyable. The staff were excellent throughout my stay. I had an issue during my visit, which I reported, and they handled it promptly and professionally. When I needed to get to the train station but there was a traffic jam, the hotel arranged for me to go in their own car, which was incredibly thoughtful. I also booked a boat trip through the hotel, and the team who took us out were very friendly and welcoming. They made the trip on the lake especially enjoyable.

    Wonderful.

Wonderful. The staff at Mountain Goat Windemere Tourist info are amazing and knowledgeable and helpful. Great info centre. Beautiful town. Regular bus service and train service makes it so easy for travellers. The walks and lakes and tarns are so fantastic. Loved it all. Best meal was at Lamplighter hotel. Excellent service and delicious food. Great to have a post office and supermarket in town.

The hotel was a disappointment. Reception was at the Bar. The receptionist was in a bad mood and had no customer care at all. it seems if he smiled he will get in trouble. Room was not ready until 5pm. the room had no view at all. There was no air conditioning and the weather was so hot. As for the lake view as beautiful, we walked around the centre, it was quiet and peaceful. boat ride was also fun.

Fantastic stay as a last minute decision for our family of 5 and the dog. Friendly welcome and freshly cleaned pod on arrival. Spacious enough for us all - even my 6ft4 husband slept well. Pods heated up quickly and held the heat nicely through the night. Toilets and showers were clean and had hooks on the doors for keeping clothes dry etc. We didn’t use the kitchen area but it was clean and spacious. Games room had plenty of seating and a table tennis table but no rackets or ball unfortunately. The campfire area was loved by our children in the evening. Enough parking space and close to lots of local walks and experiences. There were bikes on site that could be hired which would be a great family activity but I’m not sure on the pricing.

Excellent location for the frequent Lakeland buses which meant we could bus to one place, walk over the hills or catch a boat, and catch a different bus back. No parking worries. The Spar at the garage is very well stocked.

Pretty hamlet with 2 excellent pubs serving great food.

Pretty hamlet with 2 excellent pubs serving great food. Easy walking area from the hamlet and access to more challenging walking not far away. Away from the tourist traps of the Lake District. Would recommend eating at The Hare and Hounds for upmarket gastro pub food. The Masons Arms also serves good pub food. The Punchbowl at Crosthwaite is a 10 min drive away and is a very good restaurant
