The Bear Hotel is a historic inn set in the charming market town of Hungerford in the heart of the North Wessex Downs. We arrived very late cause of a delay, but their welcome made us forget the delay! Never seen friendlier staff, so helpful. I could not say anything bad about our stay here! As for the location, it was very beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. We really liked the old fashion style, with a modern touch. I forgot my E-reader and they notified me straight away and made sure to send it to the Netherlands. That's why they deserve the full 10 points for service as well, it's hard to find staff as friendly and helpful as the people working in this hotel.

I stayed longer than one night. The staff were very friendly, approachable and went the extra mile. A lovely, quintessential English pub/restaurant. The food was excellent and served hot - as it should be if it's meant to be hot. The rooms vary, I had two due to my extended stay. Both rooms were comfortable and the beds, very comfortable. The larger room was amazing with lots of space and character. High fives for manager Lizzie / Liz (?), James the chef, Cameron, Jess, Ellie, Mia, Zack, Rosy, Izzy, Chloe , Sheryl / Cheryl (?). Good team one and all. It's dog friendly too!
