Rachael was really friendly and helpful and she went out of her way to help me explore the Fairy Glen hiking trail in the limited time I was there. The location was nice and central to what I wanted to see. Bus stops were very close, which made traveling easy. And I loved the personal touch with a handwritten welcome note, flowers and a little card.

I highly recommend Mended Drum. Should you to stay in the Black Isle area don't miss this opportunity to treat yourself to a delightful experience in Fortrose. Guthrie and Horst are world travelers and we engaged in interesting conversations about Scotland's history and many other topics. Such an interesting and gracious couple who treated us like family rather than guests. Not only did they provide us with a warm, modern and clean room but also the most comfortable bed we have slept in on our month long trip. The Mended Drum's beautiful gardens enhance the captivating views of the North Sea sunrises. The adjoining golf course is a plus for you golfers. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you Guthrie and Horst!

The room was very nicely decorated and furnished and the bathroom was modern with a good shower. We had a room at the back and it was nice and quiet. They don't do breakfast which we knew and which suited us having had a big breakfast every day at our previous hotel! We ate dinner in the restaurant which is lovely and the food was very good. The room price is about right for room-only and the location is good for exploring the Black Isle and Inverness.
Brian and his wife (the owners of the Ord Arms) created a great atmosphere and Provided us with a great breakfast and as a real bonus to us Brian gave us a lift from the hotel to the Black Isle Showground which saved us a considerable walk and we also enjoyed the famous Black Isle Show, best regards, Norman Masson & Olive Scott.
The room, the view, and the peace.
The hosts are lovely people, very considerate and welcoming. The breaktfast was very good and always made by Sue, loved it every single time. Both are always open to chat and share information, very nice people. The garden is wonderful and you can see the effort and love that has been put into it. The B&B lies in a remote region that is great for relaxing and doing trips to the highlands as well as to the Speyside. The whole stay at the B&B was 10, 10, 10 across the board, we enjoyed our stay there a lot.
Comfortable, clean, spacious grounds, excellent breakfast, made to feel welcome, great location to visit Cromarty
The reviews do not do this place justice. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and welcome. Breakfast is in a true Scotish tradition. The beds were amazingly comfortable, the best we had on our trip, the bathroom and showers were generously sized, and everything was clean. The host was very knowledgeable about the area. I highly recommend you stay here!
Very clean. Feels very homey, like your grandmother’s house. GREAT breakfast.
