Charles the manager was very informative and gave us lots of details about the history of the house as he showed us around,and had enormous enthusiasm. Breakfast was really good if a bit pricey. Can’t wait to go back again

Set in a large garden, this 19th-century mansion is a 5-minute drive from Valenciennes city center and SNCF Train Station. The charming rooms are spacious and individually decorated. The hotel is a very nice old mansion house with a large garden. The interior design is absolutely exceptional. The garden is outstanding and very quiet. The breakfast was great and overall the stay was the best we have had in a long time in a hotel. Philippe was a very nice host who made our stay memorable and we will definitely come back as soon as possible. PS: There is a tram station right next to the hotel which made it very easy to visit the city center of Valenciennes.

The Originals Boutique, La Maison Rouge, Lens Ouest is located in Nœux-les-Mines, a 10-minute drive from Louver-Lens Museum and Béthune and a 20-minute drive from Arras. The hotel was easy to find and is a beautiful building with a large carpark and a few green areas for our dog. We asked and received a ground floor room which was perfect as we had a door to a little garden beyond. The room itself was smart, spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the room was dark and quiet to give a good nights rest. Staff were professional in appearance and seemed to enjoy their work. Dinner was lovely accompanied by an excellent St Emilion. Breakfast was varied and good to see meat, cheese and eggs available. We loved the classy dining room. Will we return? Certainly.

Very welcoming and providing comfortable, well appointed and unpretentious accommodation in tranquil surroundings. It was a joy to watch the white horses galloping around from our room terrace. The food was excellent with lovely unfussy service.
