Hotel in Splügen
Built in traditional Walser style, Hotel Suretta is located in the centre of Splügen next to the Hinterrhein River. We stayed there on our way back from Italy to Germany. Perfect room for a family of 4. Kids had two beds on elevated mezzanine level. Very spacious with great mountain and river views. Breakfasts was amazing! Kids loved the stay. Staff very friendly too.

Located in Splügen, 21 km from Viamala Canyon, Hotel Weiss Kreuz provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This 3-star hotel offers a bar. Really nice location and staff. I think it is a restoration of an old building but everything was done perfectly.

Hotel in Andeer
In a historic building from 1828, Hotel Fravi offers free and direct access to Andeer’s public mineral spa, which includes indoor and outdoor pools and a sauna area. The proximity to the thermal bath is great! You can walk from your room in your bathrobe, and two visits are included. We asked for a room with wooden panels, and it was both cosy and big. The breakfast was quite good. We arrived by bus from Thusis, and the walk from the bus stop took no more than a minute.
Hotel in Splügen
This traditional, country-style hotel in Splügen. It is surrounded by the scenic Lepontine Alps and the popular Splügen ski resort. A great place. We've arrived with bicycles coming through the Splügenpass. It was raining so we arrived soaking wet. The stuff has invited us and shown a secure place to store our bicycles. There's a great restaurant in the building and it's in the middle of Splügen - which actually is not all that difficult since that's a very small village. The breakfast was fantastic!

Zillis is not a tourist town per se but has a very unique church. The town is small but interesting to wander though and see the interesting Swiss timber buildings and how people live. The drive down the valley from Zillis has some of the most glorious scenery you'll see in Switzerland. Definitely worth going to Viamala Gorge, the hot spring spa at Andeer and driving up the hill opposite Zillis to have a meal - amazing views. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Easy to find just off the toll road and very close to the spectacular Viamala Gorge. Room was comfy and clean.
Sandra is an amazing host - going that extra mile to make your stay pleasant. We loved the place - it is furnished and decorated with love and such attention to detail. You do feel welcomed and taken care of. I wasn’t aware that there was additional charge for sauna - my bad, I probably missed it in the description. We loved the food - the portions were fair and with three course dinners we were hardly managing to eat if all. Sandra kindly offered a full story behind each dish (whether it was traditional Swiss, which region, if locally grown, home made)! Sandra also mentioned the Tchapinna ski area which I recommend if you need to take it easy or have any beginners in your group (CHF36 ski pass which is great for Switzerland. Only ski lifts which is tiring after a while. Still a great day skiing just 10 min from Gasthause Alpina). 40km of piste but not as diverse and large as Flims Laax Falera where we preferred to spend most of our days (CHF90 per day). A fantastic stay!
Spacious room, great cakes and friendly staff. Definitely would like to come back!
Such an amazing setting and the staff is incredible…very accommodating, room was fantastic and the food was amazing!
