Very friendly owner and staff. I like this modern rustic style. Very good breakfast. Nice restaurant! Room's humidity and temperature was perfect, very good for sleeping. One of my favourite hotel in this area.

10 km from Freilichtmuseum Ballenberg, Hotel Dakota is set in Meiringen and offers free WiFi and a tour desk. The staff was friendly and welcoming upon arrival. They were very helpful in assisting my girlfriend and I with information on the local activities. The hotel was clean and the decore was amazing. Great location and the room we stayed in was cozy and inviting. The continental breakfast was wonderful and well prepared with a large selection of food and drinks. If I return to Meringen, without a doubt, I will be staying at the Hotel Dakota. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel.

Located 4 km from the Brünig Pass, Hotel Bären offers a sun terrace with views of the Engelhörner Mountains and a restaurant. We booked a room with a shared bathroom but we were surprised when it was upgraded to a room with a private bathroom. We arrived late and the check-in instructions were so easy! The room feels very cozy and comfortable and the view from the back is amazing! Front desk staff was welcoming and kind :)

We arrived late at night, I don't really like the mountain roads and regretted choosing this hotel, but from the moment I arrived at the hotel untill check out, I loved my stay, we had the best room, greatest view I've ever had, location was perfect, staff were amazing, joyfull and helpfull. We immediately decided that we would like to come back in the near future, for at least 1 week. My only regret was that we only stayed for 2 nights.. should have booked more :)

Situated in Meiringen, 15 km from Giessbachfälle, Das Hotel Sherlock Holmes features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The hotel is easily accessible and close to the train station, while being very quiet over night. Our room was more like a 2-bedroom apartment, more than enough space for 5 people and definitely worth a long stay. We'll definitely consider to stay here again if travelling again in the area.
