The lagoon and various restaurants and Kenn's market are within walking distance. Definitely off the beaten path for those that like the sounds of birds and an occasional howler monkey!

We just wanted a decent place to stay near Belize City in our last night in the country. The owner was the friendliest person we met in Belize. We got there in the late evening on New Years and before he headed out for the evening, he chatted with us for a long time and showed us all around the gorgeous property and told us all about the plants and trees. Nature Resort started when his mom just cooked really well and they started making it into a business, he told us, and it developed into what it is today. He's the kind of person you just want to be close friends with. We wish we could have stayed longer! It always feels good supporting good peope!
