Close to the center and the Medical University. It is so nice that they start to serve breakfast was so rich with nice coffee and delicious home made cakes unusual for ordinary breakfast .

Given the location and options available in general, it is quite good value for money! Pleven is a walking distance city and area around Medical University is absolutely safe even at night! Clubbing at the city center is just a few beers away and there is plenty to do no matter what is the purpose of visit! Kayluka Park and the Panorama are close! Train station and bus station are within 40 minutes walk. As for the accommodation it is family oriented! Beds are comfortable. The only minus is that it is a bit difficult for first time visitors to find the key left in PO box. There should be better visual explanation how to reach the key! I will visit again soon!

Pleven is a very cosmopolitan City, it has a great city Museum and a very historical centre with some fine bars and food, A must visit is the "Panorama" google for full information, the best 4Lv you will ever spend. Right outside to the right is the best restaurant in Pleven the "table Top" fine food at reasonable prices, or just pop in for a drink and look at the great decoration. Don't forget to visit Kaylaka the nature reserve, just get a taxi to take you and drive you round maybe 20Lv maximum.
There is not much to go to Opanets for as far as I could see in the two days I was staying there . The Hospital appears to be a big ,albeit,unfortunate attraction . If you are visiting Pleven then Opanets is so close it is ideal .So if you can find a great bed and breakfast like Stai Simona then you will be well catered ( literally) for .We paid between 6 and 9 leva going to different parts of Pleven from Opanets and at the time that was about £2.40 and £4.05 ish . We only ate at the Stai Simona in the morning and in the evening we popped along to a modest supermarket,10 minutes walk, if that, and bought jars and tins of veg and had our meals in the room. A fellow guest said they would prepare an evening meal too if asked .
Pleven is nicer in the summer due to the centre being more open and attractive with the fountains working, these seem to be closed for the winter. However, a pleasant enough town to wander around.
Very easy to get around in Pleven, plenty of Bars and Cafes to use, Lots of shops selling all manner of things, Buses were a great way to get around if the legs had got tired. Great transport links.
For those who do not like over crowded tourism. Pleven a perfect city for a visit. The hospitality this city seems a good level to make the stay comfortable to a foereigner.
Pleven is ok for a city break. Not many things to do there, but the nature is beautiful, and the air is clean :) Other than these - Pleven is pretty boring itself. But if you want to go there for a relaxed and just not doing anything, choose a pretty hotel and stay there! :D
Pleven has great little character properties. Not very touristy which if that is how you like it is great. Love they have tiny little coffee machines everywhere. Also little windows everywhere which sell nice little snacks. So cheap
