Honestly we could not have been more impressed. The setting is astonishingly beautiful, the cabins are luxurious and the breakfast is delicious. We thought the bowl of fruit was supposed to last us two days so we were very pleasantly surprised when we got a whole new one the second day! Amazing value, would definitely go back.
Cape Tribulation
Noah Creek Eco Huts is a small family business that offer exclusive eco-friendly lodges and glamping accommodation in the heart of the Noah Creek Rainforest Reserve, the largest private World Heritage... The whole place was magical. We loved bathing in the outdoor shower and bath surrounded by tropical plants. We were here not long after cyclone Jasper hit, so most places in Daintree were closed and there were no other guests. We had to cancel a few tours we booked because of the cyclone but we think that was a blessing in disguise since it gave us time to relax, cook delicious meals in the outdoor kitchen, cool off in the swimming hole a few minutes walk away, walk north along the closed road, helped clear some of the deadfall along one of the trails (we volunteered). There were so many different rainforest sounds in the day and at night. The 5 nights we were there we didn’t use our car to get anywhere, other than when we arrived and left! We will be back one day in the future.
Cape Tribulation
Set directly opposite Thornton Beach and surrounded by the Daintree National Park, Thornton Beach Bungalows feature a private patio offering views of the Coral Sea. A beautifully furnished bungalow, looking into a lovely garden fringed with rainforest and with a glimpse of the sea at beautiful Thornton Beach.. Big blue Ulysses butterflies fluttered amongst the flowers, a cassowary visited at breakfast time. A wonderful bathroom! Friendly owners with great tips for our Daintree sojourn; they even organised wildlife activities.

Diwan
Located in Diwan and only 6.4 km from Daintree Discovery Centre, Eden Escape provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Eden Retreat was, to us, a little piece of paradise. The property, gardens and vista were beautiful. We felt completely removed from the rest of the world, and yet everything we wanted to see or do was less than half an hour away by car. Cooking was a breeze with the five-burner gas cooktop and oven, as was meal prep on the long wooden bench top. The pantry included staples such as coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper, olive oil and a few sauces and spices. We very much appreciated the inclusion of a stove-top coffee maker too. We loved the view from the bathroom whilst standing under the rain shower each morning. It's possibly the nicest bathroom we've ever seen. The property was truly unique and the use of stone, timber and rock was beautifully and carefully done. Sitting outside first thing in the morning and in the late afternoon listening to the birdsong was delightful. We felt very privileged to be surrounded by the Daintree rainforest whilst looking out over the Coral Sea. A very special place indeed.

Cape Tribulation
We stayed 4 nights in the family unit which was very spacious and has everything you need with a full cooker, microwave, fridge and everything to cook with. The bed was very comfortable. The apartments are right in the Rainforest with lovely gardens adjacent to them which makes such a lovely setting. We were lucky and saw the cassowary making his trip through the garden. The apartment is very well located to explore the Daintree Rainforest. Thank you Marie for all your help and advice on where to go and for a lovely stay
Cape Tribulation
The lodge is located in the Daintree Rainforest, close to shops, restaurant and the beach. The staff at the lodge where all friendly, there is an onsite pool (not used) and cafe; good for breakfast and lunch.
Customer service was outstanding. The management help arrange various activities and special dining for us and everything was wonderful. The chef at the restaurant was awesome !
Being in the middle of the rainforest!! This place was so pretty, peaceful and brought you back to nature. Swimming in the creek is a must!
Beautiful location and great recommendation by Sally for a river tour. We loved it. Thank you.
The location in the rainforest is wonderful. This is a small hotel, with the cabins placed to ensure your privacy. Our cabin was very comfortable. The shower room has a great window onto the rainforest. Our aircon unit was very noisy so we didn't use that. The ceiling fan was whisper quiet and even at the end of October that was all we needed. Being under the trees helps keep the cabins cool. The food was excellent. That was a real treat. We had no rain so were able to dine on the deck surrounded by the forest at night. THe water is from a bore hole on site and is lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and from all over the world. We were unusual in that we stayed for 8 days. Most people stay for less time. We didn't want to keep moving around with heavy cases too much. We found plenty to do but we are very interested in the natural world rather than more touristy things. The Madja boardwalk is a 10 minute drive away which we did most mornings before breakfast while it was quiet. There is a lovely nature walk on the premises down to their swimming hole. There was plenty of evidence of Cassowaries on the ground! We had a very close enounter with one on the Madja board walk. We were there to enjoy the rainforest itself. We did go on a croc cruise and a sunset bird watching trip from Daintree Village. We also did a zip wire tour through the canopy at Cape Tribulation where we saw a Bennets Tree Kangaroo! It doesn't get much better than that. The Daintree forest is stunning. It's dizzying in it's sheer diversity. The sound of the forest. The smell of the forest.. all very beautiful. There was a bumpy satinash tree outside cabin with it's fruit on the trunk... caulifery - looks very weird to european eyes! The accomodation isn't brand new. The rainforest takes it toll. We were not bothered by that I know some guests were.
Right in the heart of the jungle, the ambiance in the evening is just unforgettable. The common areas are very well equipped, and the owners are very friendly and help you get settled.
Beautiful grounds, comfortable and spacious room, tasty meals with great ambience, and friendly, exceptionally helpful hosts. Highly recommend!
Staff friendly , room spacious, clean and comfortable, pool wonderful
Friendly and courteous manager. Good value for money.
one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. what an experience. sleeping in a cabin in the oldest rain forest in the world. we had an exceptional meal here. the staff where friendly and knew about the area. YOU MUST WAKE UP FOR SUNRISE- on the beach, it was out of this world. couldn’t rate this place high enough
We stayed in The Cottage which was in an amazing, very private location. It was stunning with its own creek with waterfalls. Pristine! The cottage had everything required for a comfortable stay. No wifi/ mobile coverage which we knew before booking. Very comfortable bed. Perfect place to relax and soak up the Daintree Forest.
floor to ceiling window in bedroom. surrounded by rainforest. massive balcony. secluded
Beautiful location surrounded by rainforest, fruit trees, and birds really immerses you in the wilderness experience. The cabin has ample space to spread out for a couple, enjoy the views and enjoy simple meals. The bed was comfortable and bathroom well equipped to clean up after hikes and snorkeling. We only prepared simple breakfasts, for which the facilities were perfect, but you'll need to plan ahead, bring more items and get creative for bigger meals. Meals on the veranda were so much fun. The unit was very clean considering its location and all the netting, windows, etc were very effective at keeping the bugs outside.
The staff was very warm, welcoming and helpful with great activity and restaurant recommendations. The room was very clean and quiet
