Located in the centre of Kuchl, the garni hotel Wagnermigl is right on the Tauernradweg (bicycle trail) and 20 km south of Salzburg. The garden includes a sun terrace and a children’s playground. Nothing less then a 10 for this hotel. The owner/host was really attentive to all the guests. She explained the various options for sights to see or bonuses to get with the card you are given when you arrive. The hotel gives you a local public transport card, that you can even use to go to Salzburg and back for free. We stayed two nights and every day we received an ice cold bottle of sparkling water. Even when we were out, and left a "do not disturb" sign on the door to save the staff the trouble of cleaning the room, the water was left next to the door. The hotel had a modern lift and the overall styling of the hotel was quite eye-catching. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. When checking out the host gave us a couple of goodbye presents and wished us safe travels. One of the best experiences as far as hotels go.

Located at the entrance to Bad Vigaun, 15 km from Salzburg, Hotel Langwies features a spa area and a bathing pond. This was our favorite hotel across a 10-day holiday. The hotel is on a farm compound. Our children loved seeing the pigs, cows, goats, and other animals up close. We wished we had satiated another day! The hotel is new and comfortable. You feel like a guest at a nice home. The restaurant is exceptional. Would definitely recommend it. Everyone’s meal was exceptional, from the chicken nuggets for our youngest to the excellent jalapeño steak.

Located in the centre of Russbach, Hotel Kerschbaumer is just 400 metres from the cable car into the Dachstein-West Ski Area. It features a sauna and a fossil exhibition. Great location, comfortable rooms, delicious food and more important very nice family and fantastic management 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Just 15 km from Salzburg, NEUWIRT - Boutiquehotel & Wirtshaus is located in the spa town of Bad Vigaun, just off the A10 motorway. It offers free Wi-Fi and a traditional Austrian restaurant. The place has fantastic atmosphere, surrounded by the mountains, beautiful interior and exterior design. The house is full of art. We received great recommendation for restaurant in Hallen. The food is great in the hotel.

Only a 10-minute walk away from the centre of Abtenau, this hotel and restaurant is right next to the valley station of the Karkogel cable car. Very clean, large rooms. Beautiful views! The food in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel is dog friendly and has beautiful walks outside. Very friendly staff. A lovely stay!
