This is one of the most relaxing and best run places I have ever stayed in. From the moment I arrived the Haberl family and their fantastic staff seemed to regard looking after me as their top priority. All are immaculate, quiet but fast and efficient, polite, helpful without being intrusive and always friendly. The hotel itself is top notch quality, very clean, spacious, homely, plenty of daylight, colourful and excellently maintained. I drove round the Attersee lake today - I know it pretty well anyway, I've been coming here for years. No other location to match Hotel Haberl! Breathtaking panoramic views from one terrace, a spectacular peaceful view over the vast golf course from the other. Fabulous food - big thanks to Mrs Haberl and her team! - the very varied breakfast buffet alone is simply superb, totally fresh and appetizing. I was lulled into savouring the peaceful surroundings, watching the distant life on the road roll quietly by, marveling at the changing light and weather (great for me as an en plein air artist). A golden wheat field grew just yards from my table where skimming house martins put on a continuous, mesmerising aerobatic show. It takes just a few minutes by foot or car to reach Hotel Haberl's peaceful and big private meadow right on the lakeside with its cosy wooden cabin, equipped with clean toilets, changing cubicles, parking, etc. I was down there before 6 to paint the sunrise and 8 ducklings waddled over to welcome me, rubbed their beaks gently in my hand, even let me stroke them. If you want a place to 'get away from it all', somewhere to recharge your batteries, Hotel Haberl is a brilliant choice and I heartily recommend you stay here. Sounds like paradise? You bet! I can't wait to go back.

Offering an infinity pool with a sunbathing lawn, a spa area, a restaurant, and a terrace with panoramic views of Lake Attersee and the mountains, Hotel Irmgard is located in Strass im Attergau, 5 km... This property made it hard to leave Attersee. I adored the staff as well as the property. The parking is free, located in the front of the property. The bikes available for borrowing were a nice addition, too. If you prefer E-bikes, I would recommend renting them in the village. The breakfast was amazing, and I enjoyed having an assigned seat, I recommend the dinner, there is no need to go anywhere, as the staff provide a 4-course meal and one night, the Austrian buffet was great after hiking 30km. The property is kind to dogs, and there's a great walking path nearby. The room was spacious, with a spa shower and a beautiful terrace, overlooking the forest behind. I will forever adore the Attersee.

In a peaceful countryside location in the Attergau region, Landgasthof Spitzerwirt is 6 km from Lake Attersee. The restaurant serves classic Austrian cuisine made from regional products. Nice traditional Austrian hotel. The interior is a bit dated - especially the bathrooms - but the rooms are spacious, the bed comfortable and I had a nice balcony. The room was clean and the breakfast had everything you could wish for. The best thing was the owner though. He was super friendly and accommodating.

The family-run Boutique Hotel Aichinger in the centre of Nussdorf offers a private beach on Lake Attersee, which is 700 metres away. Free WiFi access and parking are available free of charge. Excellent kitchen, friendly staff.

Offering an outdoor pool and children's playground, Hotel Hofer is situated in Strass im Attergau, 3 km from Lake Attersee and 35 km from Salzburg. The location of the hotel is great, easy to reach by car and within close driving distance to the lake and hikes. The hotel is very nice with beautiful views. Everything was clean, the room and the bathroom very modern, breakfast had lots of choices, the receptionist was very nice and helpful. There is a beautiful terrace with the view of the lake where you can have your breakfast or a drink in the evening. Our room had also balcony with a lake view. Everything was perfect. I would definitely come back.

Voralpenhotel Schmoller is located in Sankt Georgen am Attergau, 35 km from Salzburg, and offers a spa area including an indoor pool and a sauna as well as a restaurant serving traditional Austrian... Nice and clean hotel, friendly and helpful receptionist, also good location, amazing views and very nice pool. Breakfast is excellent and all the service was great.

In a quiet countryside location a 5-minute drive from the shore of Lake Attersee, Landhotel Waldmühle features a garden with a children’s playground. Free WiFi is available. I liked that they have horses, ducks, bunnies, cats and a doggo. Love how friendly and helpful and accommodating the entire staff is. The host family is lovely! The location is beautiful, behind the mountains, so close to the lake Atersee...5min by car, Wolfgangsee is 26min by car and Mondsee also something like 28min by car. The breakfast is served buffet style and from the croissant to the omelette to the yogurt to the juice to the bread...oh the bread.....so so so good. The fruits as well, everything fresh and deliciously prepared. Very comfortable and cozy outside with the chairs and swings, me and Lucky sat there outside enjoying the nice weather and beautiful view. The beds are comfortable and the shower is ok, maybe a tiny tiny bit box would be great, but the shower pressure was good too....The bed was comfortable for me who like a bit more to softer side....was great I slept like a baby... The hotel is decorated in a very cozy and nice style. I forgot..the balcony has no light but is solved by leaving the bedroom light on...I loved everything about this hotel and I cannot wait to come again asap. Book early cus is always sold out...we got so lucky to get this hotel in high season for an affordable price.

Hotel Lohninger-Schober enjoys a quiet location near St. Georgen, in the northern Salzkammergut region. The service was very everyone very nice. And the breakfast was good nice selection.

Located at Attersee Lake, Hotel Schönberger provides its own beach with a sunbathing area. Guests have access to free wired internet in the entire hotel. The view is great. Lake Attersee is the front view and the hillside with trees is the back view. There was a dusting of snow in the morning so the trees were beautiful. The Easter decorations were a nice touch.
