The Brukenthal is a stately palace from 1788, formerly used as the summer residence of Transylvanian Baron Samuel von Brukenthal. It now offers accommodation with free Wi-Fi, just 50 metres from Avrig Train Station. Sibiu lies 28 km to the west. We were here 5 years ago, and were absolutely overwhelmed by this oasis of beauty. So glad to see nothing has changed, if only for the better. Excellent restaurant and breakfast. Excellent bathroom. This is one of my three favourite accommodations in the world, the other two being Stary Mlin in Upalty (Poland) and Ivan Apartments in Skopje. Too bad it is so far from home, but we will definitely be back nevertheless.

We had to cancel as the rooms we booked initially didn’t suit our family but the staff were very friendly and understanding. They gave us a very nice apartment instead.

Special applause for the inner yard which included secure parking, warm pool, summer pavilion and many more stuff for activities. Each meal was a delightful .And let's not forget the breathtaking view that accompanied every meal - it truly added an extra layer of magic to the experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a serene and rejuvenating getaway. I can't wait to return for another memorable visit!"

Vila Rozalia Garden Gate is set in Avrig and has a heated pool and garden views. This 3-star bed and breakfast offers full-day security and a concierge service. The accommodation offers wellness packages, free WiFi and family rooms. The apartment - castle like furniture. YouTube, Netflix (must use your subscription). The pool is small, round, perfect to cool down. The waiters and the manger are the sweetest, they will even bring you the fool and cocktails by the beach side. There is sand and a superb outside wall that gives it a Bali look. The food and drinks were amazing! Try the Cappuccino mushroom soup! And the linguine with tomato sauce and basil! Pina colada and Mojito!

The resort also features free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. We had such a good time at this wonderful place. The staff was friendly, attentive and ready to help at any point. The food was delicious, made with local, fresh produce and we ended up buying some for ourselves to take back home. Many thanks for making us feel very welcomed during the three days spent there. And we will definitely come back soon.

Many activities are offered on location and on request, bike tours to the Fagaras Mountains, karaoke evenings and a campfire can be organized. The complex also has farm animals, a playground for children, table tennis, gym, sauna, a hot tub and a small outdoor pool. Four conference rooms can be used. The location is superb, the staff was very nice and helpfull. Food is great. The rooms are clean and spacious and well equiped. We will return for sure, we loved our stay

Hotel Dobsi is located in Bazna, 6 km from the Gothic-style fortified church in Boian. The indoor swimming pool has salt water and temperature up to 33 degrees Celsius. Access to the on-site sauna, pool and gym is possible at a surcharge. Clean room & SPA area, nice fitness room, possibility to play pool (2 eur/ 30 min), good food in the restaurant and kind staff. Towels and bathrobes are exchanged every morning. You can hire bycicles for 24 h for a reasonable price. I recommend to visit fortified churches in the nearby villages Boian and Velț. Bazna is a quiet village with fresh air and nice walking paths. In the local fortified church you can find an ancient and freshly restaured orgue fron 17th century. At the hotel you can pay cash or by credit card, there is ATM near the hotel entry as well.
