Extraordinary willingness of the owners and a beautiful clean traditional country house. Large, comfortable room and beds. Authentic Romanian countryside, mountains and nature in the surroundings. Safe parking in the garden, check-in even at night, possibility of homemade breakfast (home eggs and vegetables!) Cats and a nice dog in the garden. A small miracle, especially at this low price! Highly recommended.

Pensiunea Dacica is located in Bosorod in the Gradistea Muncelului-Cioclovina Nature Reserve , 800 metres from the Piatra Rosie Citadel and 10 km from the Cioclovina Cave. Guests can rent bicycles and benefit from free WiFi in public areas. It’s an absolute idyllic place, in the middle of nowhere. The food they cook was the best we had on our entire holiday. The staff is incredibly friendly and caring. it’s the perfect place for history and nature geeks. There’s a lot of historical sites near(ish) by (for most is a car necessary) and we got a presentation by Norman about the Dacian settlement in the region. There’s also an entire library about the Dacian and other historical periods free to use. If you want to just rest from exploring it’s the perfect place as well. Lovely cats, dogs and donkeys that join you, or you just read in a hammock on the field enjoying the view of the dreamy valley.
