Guests can use the leisure facilities at the property's sister hotel, The Inn Grasmere. Facilities include a swimming pool, gym and sauna. We spend two nights there, and they couldn’t be better Everything was spot on, breakfast, personal, location, room, etc… Great hospitality

With free parking and free Wi-Fi, it serves hearty breakfasts cooked to order. Guests can swim in the property's off-site pool. Located in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of eating establishments Breakfast and staff were extremely helpful. Had a room on the top floor with a vertical spiral staircase. Ask for this room. Provided parking which was also a plus. The rate should have been higher as one could not ask for more. Would have paid more without a second thought.

Absolutely lovely stay at this hotel - staff attentive and incredibly friendly, made us feel welcome and helped with all requests! Great spot right in the centre of Ambleside but still quiet, and nice view from our balcony over the village and the fells in the background.

The hotel has some of the best on-site facilities in the area, half of the rooms with hot tubs on private balconies, an on-site spa with poolside seating and a bar, stylish restaurant and cocktail bar, bike hire, wakesurfing and paddleboading. Tha wheatear was brilliant and the staff were so helpful and friendly. It was a nice view of the lake from the lake suite. The room with a private bathtub was the best choice for relaxing and couple celebrations. Also, the spa and swimming were available and cosy. At this time of year (December), the town was so beautiful and everywhere was decorated for Christmas. It was a dreamy trip.🎄✨️

This provides free access to a swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and fitness classes for all guests during their stay, including on check out day. Location was great.
