An amazing building with fascinating history. Very well converted into a 5-star hotel. Location is quite isolated, Canfranc seems full of locked-up ski rental apartments and little else. The nearest 'proper' city is Zaragoza, 2 hours drive away. The hotel will really come into its own when/if the rail connection with Pau is completed - in 2024? The restaurant was excellent and surprisingly inexpensive - 60€ for 2 courses and a bottle of house wine for 2. Even better, they have a young wine waiter/esse who resembles a young Brigitte Bardot!

This bed and breakfast provides free private parking, a lift and free WiFi. The breakfast was a lovely assortment of pastries, cheese, meat, fruit, fresh juice and coffee. We had the opportunity to have breakfast outside on the terrace overlooking the countryside and that was a highlight. The hosts were extremely attentive and helpful and we felt taken care of in every way. The grounds are breathtaking. They are exactly as you see in the photos.
