We did have a room with a beautiful sea view, with the terrace directly overlooking the ocean.
The hotel, restaurant, garden and rooms could not be maintained any better.
For me it is always very important that hotel rooms are clean. The room we had was truly spotless, the team is doing a most amazing job!
The room was modern, yet cozy and everything was thought of e.g. the cover of the couch was not only washable but also freshly washed and there was even a small sewing kit which I could use to fix one of my shirts.
The breakfast at the Houben was great, and the best breakfast we had on our two week trip.
What makes this hotel truly outstanding is not only the state of the hotel and the wonderful management of it, but the staff. We have both been amazed at how welcomed we felt and how kind and helpful everybody was. They did help us to organise the pick up and our further journey and a trip in the kindest way possible. The attentiveness is outstanding, e.g. once we have been in the pool pretty late at night and somebody from the restaurant came out and turned on the whirlpool part of it again. The staff is doing an extraordinary job!
The Houben is a great place to stay and surely deserves a 10/10 rating. Due to the staff, they would deserve 100/10, which is sadly not possible.

The resort had everything you needed from breakfast and food, A/C and travel information and tour options - also laundry service which was excellent and very reasonable. Great resort by the sea in koh lanta. The rooms are well decorated, clean and with everything you need. Swimming pool is big and superclean. Nice bar and restaurant (not cheap though compared to what is available outside). The staff is supernice and always happy to help. They can organise boat trips, transport including renting motorbikes. In low season very quiet, relaxed and affordable.
We loved the location of the resort. It was right on the beach in a lovely area on the island. We loved the room. It was spacious and the beds were comfortable, even the additional mattress they brought in for our son. The spa bath was a real treat. The view was lovely. There was very little surrounding noise. The breakfast was incredible, such a spread and variety of food. We had a Thai massage at the resort - oh so good! The swimming pool was also great.
The villa was cute, clean, spacious outdoor area, good size swimming pool and has a super nice sunset view from the villa. Private and safe area. Not too far from the near by beach. Lots of restaurants within walking distance (and 7/11!). The management team was very punctual so check-in/out went fast and smoothly.
With it being low season, most things in the area were closed which was fine for me since I was there to write it was great. The view from the room was wonderful, warm shower and nice outdoor spaces to relax. Definitely worth the price. Great swimming pool. Scooter for rent for 250 baht per day and a wonderful speedy laundry service. Two great beaches in walking distance. The staff accommodated all my requests - extended my stay there a couple nights to take in more of those shades of blue

This one of the best hotels in Lanta certainly for its price . Everything is new and well decorated. The swimming pool is new . Breakfast is good . In the evening their is an amazing buffet and a show.of live music and fire show. The towels are new and soft . The air-conditioning is Mizobishi which is the best . The sea shore is amazing . New refrigerator. The service is amazing. Every thing is well organized. Also a new Coffey machine with capsules in the room . Out side its like heaven . Small waterfalls and sitting corners.

The seaside pavillion room was comfortable and clean and the outdoor bathtub was a nice way to cool down.
