Looking for a hotel with pools?
‘Does it have a pool?’ is arguably one of the most common questions when booking a stay in any location. These hotels offer a great way to keep active during your holiday without having to hit the gym. Indoor pools allow you to practice your backstroke come rain or shine, whereas outdoor options allow you to relax on a sun lounger after swimming a few lengths.

Relaxing in the pool of the le Grand after a day on the slow boat is simply the best. The staff was extremely welcoming, the grounds are beautiful and our room had a splendid view over the Mekong river. A real bless to stay here.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We arrived on the slow boat and were picked up in a private tuk tuk and dropped back off the next day. We received a welcome drink which was amazing. The food at the restaurant was lovely. The view of the hotel was idyllic and the pool was perfect after travelling all day.

The manager and staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of. The hotel definitely deserves a 4 star rating. The pool was nice and had a good view of the river. It is definitely worth staying there for two nights to break up the trip to Luang Prabang.

Almost everything was perfect. Great location, amazing view on the Mekong River, nice room, great garden and pool. I would easily rate the property as 10 if it wasn't about food in the hotel restaurant. We had a set menu and the food was quite poor or average at most. Why, why, why? Food is such an important part of the overall experience and in Lao (including Pak Beng) you can find a lot of excellent food. I recommend staying at the hotel, but please don't use the hotel restaurant.

The location and views of the Mekong is excellent and the Sanctuary is a wonderful place to stay. We chose it also because of the work it does with the local Laos community - a health clinic and services for people and support to the elephant sanctuary across the river. Lovely pool, lovely wood panelled rooms, smashing staff. Super!

Gorgeous hotel in a fairly remote part of Laos so the facilities are top notch. The pool was down the hill a fair way but lovely for a refreshing swim, while dinner overlooking the river was fabulous. Seeing some elephants across the river after breakfast was a bonus
