The most striking thing is that we got a (double) upgrade to a room with a beautifull terrace and jacuzzi overviewing the Sassi. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre and located in a old palace. It has a nice terrace for dinner and drinks with beautiful view. The staff is amazing. The only thing is that the hotel is located in the centre of the historical and car-free area. We arrived by car and we had to park the car in a sister hotel and were neatly transported with a van from and to the hotel. Unfortunatey the GPS of the car brought us into the car-free zone of Matera :(

While the hotel was a fair walk from the historical centre, the extra space in the rooms and bathrooms made the hotel well suited for a stay in Matera. The staff were excellent and extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the cleanliness of the rooms was noticeable. We have travelled widely throughout Europe and this was one of our better experiences.

‘Does it have a pool?’ is arguably one of the most common questions when booking a stay in any location. These hotels offer a great way to keep active during your holiday without having to hit the gym. Indoor pools allow you to practice your backstroke come rain or shine, whereas outdoor options allow you to relax on a sun lounger after swimming a few lengths.
The apartment was very stylish and well decorated. Staff was very helpful and nice (we had some problems with water temperature and they tried to fix it asap and even offered another apartment). We enjoyed great dinner at the beautiful hotel restaurant, pool, small children area and garden. Whole stay was very calming and relaxing.
A very good place to relax in Puglia. Rustically furnished apartments, studios and villas, huge area for walking and cycling, swimming pool and tennis courts, excellent food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in the climatic restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. Close to Matera, Montescaglioso, Altamura, scenic gorges and the Ionian Sea. All of Puglia and part of Basilicata within reach of car trips. Unforgettable days in a place that exceeded our expectations and comments from other guests.
Stunning location, it was the most peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was really friendly, so was the sweet dog Rita :-) we really enjoyed the mandarin room and the early morning and late evening swims with fantastic view. Also dinner in the restaurant on property was lovely. Breakfast was perfect. The ride to Villa Rita was beautiful, quiet roads full of nature, olive trees and vineyards. Thank you ❤️

beautiful place indeed. accommodation in peaceful landscape among lemon, orange and olive trees, beautiful property with amazing outdoor pool area. For exploring Basilicata you will definitely need a car, but you can even spent couple of nights just in property. Its so large. Appreciate also renting electro bikes. Rooms are sufficiently large, simple, cosy, spotless with everything what you need for couple of nights stay. Stuff is very friendly willing to help anytime they like their job.
