Nothing actually yes that is your transportation to spa villa to dine in . But unfortunately beforehand your reptioists did not tell us there is this free transportation to dine there .And your hotel got no food and seafood restaurant no seafood at all .no crabs no lobster etc To book for a taxi in your hotel it's so difficult ..your staff say only one driver only and cannot bargain .it's up to the taxi driver to offer his fare price .Omg ... And last but not least no super store .It's closed down. Very disappointed to bring so many of my Singaporean member there to support .

Facing the beachfront, The Kelong Trikora Resort offers 3-star accommodation in Kangkakawal and has an outdoor swimming pool, garden and terrace. There is a restaurant serving Asian cuisine, and free private parking is available.

We love Kelong Trikora! It's an amazing place, my husband (Indian Singaporean) and I (German) spent 4 days there over Chinese New Year. The team there, especially Linda and Eric, set a new standard to customer service! They are so deeply caring for each guest, it's touching. When it rained they placed an umbrella outside of every villa, so that guest wouldn't get wet on their way to dinner, when we wanted to go on a trip and the hotel driver was unavailable Linda called several taxi companies and in the end offered to drive us with the staff car, even when the fan did not immediately work three people showed up and got it fixed within 10mins. Kelong Trikora is a very quiet resort with a beautiful pool and 10 separate huts. The cuisine is out of this world, even though the menu is a bit limited (focus on Indonesian and Chinese), so many of the dishes were simply the best (can recommend the fish curry, the sotong bakar, the kailan and kangkong and as daily special chicken satay, each main about 180K, veggies 75-90K). It takes about an hour from the ferry terminal Bandar Bintan Telani (Lagoi) and from the resort we went to the blue lakes and sand dunes (1hr drive, absolutely worth it!). We tried the restaurants in the two resorts next to this and got utterly disappointed, food was horrible and the service even worse, so we would next time just stick to the resort kitchen. All the staff is very nice and chitchatty if you're open to it, but not forcing conversations upon anybody. For my husband's birthday I asked them to please help me get a chocolate cake and they got a super cute beautiful cake for me. The only thing to keep in mind is that you're dependant on the hotel's transport (so plan a bit in advance and let them know) and that during low tide the water draws back about 1km, so not really for swimming in the sea, but the pool is amazing and the whole area is covered in nice fluffy green grass, so nice to walk around barefoot.

Looking for a hotel with pools?

‘Does it have a pool?’ is arguably one of the most common questions when booking a stay in any location. These hotels offer a great way to keep active during your holiday without having to hit the gym. Indoor pools allow you to practice your backstroke come rain or shine, whereas outdoor options allow you to relax on a sun lounger after swimming a few lengths.

The atmosphere was nice, beside the beach and the swimming pool was good. The room was giving us a rustic feeling and it was maintained well. It was clean and neat for us to stay.

The pool is very nice and the staff is very friendly. Some people mentioned that there was no real beach. That is not true. It just depends on the tide and I loved walking out to the small island during low tide. We were there during the week. The hotel was almost empty which I personally loved as it was very calm.

Beautiful setting. Great for the children. Lovely pool, overlooking the sea. A great green space for children to run around. A very relaxing stay. The waves were quite strong for young children but good fun to jump/boogie board.

Especially after a long chat with the owner, who happened to be there, the spirit of the place, the sustainability idea and community work. The beach and the swimming pool area are magnificent. The plans for extending the water sports activities. I hoped to do some wing or kite surfing, but it was not the season. I advice to ask beforehand to avoid false expectations.

I loved the fact that it was very simple and pretty. Quite small and not crowded. Very well inserted in nature, you can’t see it from the beach or the road. Beautiful beach and swimming pool.

Trikora is a little barefoot paradise. I had anticipated it to be a little bit rustic (reading previous reviews) and it is, but because it is so charming and restfull it really isn't a factor. This is only a small resort, which I loved, no rowdy crowds, only peace and the beautiful sound of the waves. The beach is only steps away and the sand continues up to the pool side and into the dining area. We were able to dine overlooking the ocean and swim easily between pool and sea. Breakfast was good, staff great, as were the massages.
