Beautiful location. Right next to Aling-aling waterfall. Remember to bring everything you need as it's a very remote location but during the day the view is absolutely wonderful and during the night you could benefit from the serenity provided by this area - only the stars and the frogs' singing.

Amazing place with great and dedicated staff. Massage by Lotu is more then recommended, relaxed us so much after waterfall visits. Place itself is very local country side style giving a relaxing feelings. Sunset is super beautiful so it's better to come back there before 6pm and have a dinner there. The food is very tasty. Definitely recommended!

This is an active farm stay with surprising facilities and right next to the famous Aling Aling Waterfalls only 10 minutes walk right on your doorstep ! The farm owner and his family where incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble , with food prepared from produce from the farm and fresh coconut this place is incredible and I will definitely return to this magical place

The staff were amazing, always very welcoming and very helpful and cheery and knew us by name. Check in isn't until 3pm but we were there before 2 and the staff were very kind to allow us to check in early. The food in the restaurant is some of the best food we had in Bali . The pool is very relaxing and beautiful, the breakfast is very delicious and filling and there's a great variety. The view from the room was insanely gorgeous and being able to see the sunrise every morning from our balcony was just spectacular. The room and bathroom were very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The resort is kind of in the middle of nowhere but that's what we wanted and it's the perfect escape away from the busy city.

This is truly a gem! First of all, the rooms have beautiful interior, fantastic view over the ocean and are well equipped. Pool area, infinity pool and gardens are just beautiful! From the dining area there is a spectacular view of the ocean. My wife had to pintch herself upon arrival. Location is quiet and peaceful as it is located not in the town but it is very common to get a driver to take you to desired excursions or restaurants. Very happy with the food as well. There were many breakfast options (included and some for extra fee) and we did not tire of the selection over more than two weeks time. We also had lunch and dinner (extra fee) on numerous days and everything tasted very well! For a small size business the menu is quite big! It is not a restaurant but will cater for additional meals is planned. They have filters installed for water which was very important for us as we travelled with a 5 month old baby so we were relived that we did not need to buy mad quantities of bottled water, e.g. for brushing teeth. They were even kind to borrow and refill the jug of drinking water from the kitchen for us. And last but certainly not least the hosts are very nice and warm people. Lia and Steve were very involved in making our stay comfortable and easy. They helped us with suggestions for excursions, booking the drivers, massage and transport to and from the hotel. We actually extended our stay at Villa Mata Hari just because it is such a wonderful place to stay. At the end of our stay we felt like we had been staying with family and are happy to have had a chance to meet them and stay at their villa. I 100% recommend booking it as you will not be disappointed!

This review was hard to write for two reasons. One, there were so many amazing moments in our week at Villa Cahaya (including a wedding!) that it was difficult to know where to begin, and two, we almost didn’t want to share just how amazing this place is because we kind of want it to be our little secret. From start to finish, everything was as close to perfection as one could imagine. In short, it was the best experience that our group has ever had while on vacation. How so? Well… • Accommodations. The villa is perfect in its design. Open yet cozy, private yet connected, modern yet showcasing many of Bali’s traditional aesthetics. The main house is ultra-inviting and has a lovely common area; the rooms were all spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the pool was heavenly. The pictures are stunning, but actually being there on the property is breathtaking. • The service. Komang, the owner/property manager, is exceptionally professional, genuinely friendly, and easy to chat with. He was always a phone call/text away when we needed a driver or wanted to book activities, ask for restaurant recommendations, etc. Putu was our hospitality resource throughout our stay. She’s detailed, thorough, and endlessly considerate. Her cooking is divine, and her presence and personality make you feel like you’re being cared for by family. Putu is the best. The ground staff were fantastic and worthy of mention. They were there early in the morning, taking care of the pool, the gardens, and the yard so that everything looked and felt first-day fresh when we woke up. • The above-and-beyond. This is a quality that not every hotel or resort has. Villa Cahaya, on the other hand, has it in abundance. From start to finish, there’s an overall attitude that assures you that if your request is possible, it will be met- and likely exceed all expectations.

Nice place to stay for our short vacation. They provide a spacious room, Wi-Fi, soap and shampoo, towels, and complimentary Indonesian breakfast (nasi Kuning/Jinggo/Goreng). The room is also clean and tidy. They also provide spacious parking area.
