Lovely warm and welcoming hosts, eg., investigated and printed a bus schedule for us, suggested things to do, and showed interest in us. Loved the setting among olive trees, the accommodation (beautiful fabric wall hanging; great bed), the private balcony, the garden area, the option for a (extra cost) massage, and access to a mini-fridge. Interesting antiques and other furniture made this experience SO much more delightful than any hotel. Plenty to eat and good variety of food for breakfast. There was a nice pool but we didn’t take advantage of it. Proprietor immediately fixed a small problem in the bathroom.

Beautiful quiet rural location but within easy driving distance of St Maximin and other historic towns.
Our hosts were very welcoming, and very patient with our stumbling attempts to converse in French. They were so helpful, and we were able to learn more about the surrounding area and people.
The room was very clean and had all that we needed. The air con was particularly welcome as we visited in the hot August weather to attend a friends wedding nearby.
The breakfast was a delicious surprise each day as we were presented with different, freshly baked, treats and a variety of homemade confitures.

The breakfast was excellent on each occasion. Great choice and really well cooked. The view from the villa complex was beautiful and it was relaxing and quiet. The hosts were great, attentive when we had our conversations and did not impose at all. I would absolutely book to come back again. The surrounding areas were great too. Good base for hired car holiday.

the location was beautiful! The owners were so warm and friendly even with a bit of a language barrier. They showed us and our children around and introduced us to their animals, all of whom seem very well loved and cared for. They even ordered our dinner for us! The cabin was cosy, clean and smart and we all slept very well. We were offered breakfast for a very reasonable supplement and it was charming: pastries, bread, juice and coffee delivered in a wicker hamper. The shower was unexpectedly fantastic (given the type of accommodation) with lots of hot water. Our children (18 mths and 3 years) were enchanted by the whole experience.

A delightful place to stay with wonderful welcoming hosts. The room was large and very comfortable, we enjoyed the pool and breakfast was delicious. Thierry gave us great suggestions for days out.

Very quiet, bed confortable, apartment well equipped (washing machine, dish washer, coffee makers …). Nice owners and delicious home made jam. The weather was not great so I didn’t use the swimming pool.
Extremely pleasant hosts. A lovely location about 2 km out of town. Very natural setting. Comfortable bed and nice apartment. I suspect the pool in the right season would be beautiful. This was a surprise find for us and exceeded our expectations. I would love to go back.
We stayed with 3 kids at Le Grand Saint Mitre for 3 nights and loved the place. The place located 5 min drive from the beautiful small town of Saint Maximin, 30 min drive from Aix-en-Provence. Kids loved the swimming pool, pretty small dog and friendly host. Highly recommended!
everything! the apartments are well equipped and the swimming pool and surrounding areas are beautifully maintained. most off all, we appreciated the friendliness of our hosts, Lydia and Philippe, who were always attentive to us having the best of times during our stay.
What’s not to like?! Everything is better then in the description and the pictures! The cottage has really everything you need to live there. From soap to spare toiletpaper, superb bed, fully loaded kitchen, 4 places to sit outside, washingmachine etc etc.
Not to mention the total privacy and luxury of a private swimmingpool, and offcourse the great superfriendlt hosts: Jeannine et Gilbert! oh, did I mention the local wine and homebaked cake as a welcomepresent? :)
Perfect location to explore Provence, including marvellous hikes in the nearby mountains. The place is very quiet and peaceful, which makes it a perfect escape from a busy city life. The hosts made us feel at home immediately and they provided many useful tips for visiting the area. Their hospitality was really unparalleled! We also enjoyed a lot simply sitting by the swimming pool and relaxing in the sun :-) Thank you Thierry and Myane for an unforgettable stay :-)
