All of the staff have big, genuine smiles. Everyone friendly and helpful. The location is stunning. Horses everywhere. Nice dogs in and around the property. We love dogs. Flowers, Chickens and ponds full of frogs. All very charming. The Chateau is beautiful. Comfortable beds, with nice clean white sheets. Gorgeous Views of the surrounding countryside. This place is a real find.

We stayed in a section of the hosts' home, partitioned off by a curtain. The toilet and bath were connected to the room we stayed in. The room has it's own access to the terrace and garden so you can come and go as you like without going through the rest of the house. There's a table and chairs on the terrace which we used to have the dinner we brought with us as well as breakfast the next morning.
Everything was clean and we had what we needed to recharge on our drive from Spain to Germany. The property is very secluded, quiet and a great place to rest if you're looking for a simple refuge. The hosts were friendly and I'm sure would have been up for having a nice chat and recommending things to do in the area, but we were in a bit of a rush.
We didn't end up swimming in the pool, though it did look very inviting. The garden is large and includes a small pagoda, vegetable garden and a few fruit trees. There are cats and a chicken coop on the property. Although I'm allergic to cat hair, I didn't have any problems.
Breakfast was typically French: coffee, juice, croissant, some bread with butter and marmelade. I think the blackberry/raspberry marmelade might have been homemade.
‘Does it have a pool?’ is arguably one of the most common questions when booking a stay in any location. These hotels offer a great way to keep active during your holiday without having to hit the gym. Indoor pools allow you to practice your backstroke come rain or shine, whereas outdoor options allow you to relax on a sun lounger after swimming a few lengths.
Beautiful building. We had the family room but the double bed was pretty awful: too small and too high in the middle. But the food (in the garden) and the pool-with-a-view were great.
