Mel and Hywel are superb hosts. We had a fantastic dinner on our first night and platter on our second night. Breakfast was perfect. All in all a great stay.
Located in Port de Vallée, 23 km from Angers, Le Mouton is set in a 17th century building and offers a swimming pool in its garden as well as a hot tub.

This was a little gem! The room was just right for our family with little touches of luxury in the jacuzzi bath. The hostess was lovely and chatty. We were the only ones there after a wedding so it felt like really personal service.

Lovely large room with very large comfortable bed. Located in a good spot to explore the lower part of the Loire.
The owners were charming and extremely helpful and provided a sumptuous breakfast each morning.

We loved our stay, the b&b was picturesque. The food served was delicious and we all felt very welcome. I would highly recommend. The hot tub was great to use.
Le Mouton is a beautiful property set in the countryside. The garden is rustic and well furnished with tables, chairs, outside sofas, sun loungers etc. The swimming pool is clean and inviting. The hosts were wonderful.
Lovely quiet place, a great garden to sit in, (where I heard a Golden Oriole) yummy breakfast with jams, eggs and fruit from the garden.. Super host, excellent spot for the Loire Valley. Room, including bed, was spacious and comfortable. Good bathroom. Kettle and fridge. A swimming pool although we did not try it out. Do go to Terra Botanica in Angers. We spent a day there very easily. Wish we had booked 3 nights instead of 2.
There’s genuinely nothing to fault. Miriam and Claude were incredibly welcoming, the setting is gorgeous and the 16th century house comfortable and charming. We enjoyed crémant in the hot tub and a delicious home cooked meal with the sunset. It’s easy to find and nestled in a tranquil corner of the Loire which is still easily accessible from Angers. We will surely be back.
Breakfasts were lovely. The rooms were excellent and very spacious as were the bathrooms. Dinner (cooked by Hywel) was wonderful and his knowledge of the (very) local wines was fantastic. It was lovely eating by the little pool and Tilly the dog was a great companion! Mel very kindly booked a great restaurant for us as well as recommending a very good Chateau (Bablut) for us to visit for some wine tasting. We would happily come again!
The most generous hosts I have ever known! Food and especialy the drinks were very generous and given with love & care.Great cooking and breakfast eggs exceptional. Hot tub, petanque, pool and gardens .Within 5 minute walk of the river. Room decorated with style
Le Mouton is a very well maintained and equipped Chambre d'Hote consisting of main building, outhouses, swimming pool, hot tub and extensive grounds. Well situated on the banks of the Loire, it is ideally placed for a stop-off on the way from the Channel and all points south or for a tranquil few days in the countryside. Our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and the food and wine were both excellent. Highly recommended
Staying at La Boire Bavard was a real treat! From the initial arrival, to our room, to the amazing and very much needed pool, and lastly but by no means least the beautiful breakfasts. Our host Marilyn was wonderful. Always nearby when you wanted something or had a question. The breakfasts around the outdoor table were long and leisurely and definitely the best of our holiday. We will DEFINITELY stay here again! A standard to set other stays by! 10 out of 10!
